Base people off their profile age? I'm just curious since it isn't that hard to lie about your age on the internet. I mean when I see somebody post, I don't immediately go check their age so I can make sure it matches up with the post. If I actually did that I would have to assume a lot of NG users to be older than they actually are.

I think most people that lie don't want to make it too obvious, so would usually set their age no more than a year above their true age, so even if they did lie it wouldn't make that much difference. Having said that, its usually quite easy to guess the age of a user based on the quality of their posts.

My profile is actually quite correct. So any assumptions would be true.

Normally, i don't judge on age, but when i seem someone who is annoying, I go to their profile, then I decide whether they are just being an annoying kid or a whiny adult.

The only times I ever really check someone's profile to judge them on their age is when I'm trying to find out whether they're dense or just uninformed. For instance, there was this thread about the oil spill where the OP didn't know that crude oil =/= gasoline. So, I checked his age and he turned out to be 14, or whatever. There's a difference between someone who's 20 and doesn't know this and someone who's 14. The later is substantially more understandable.

I JUDGE PEOPLE BY THEIR LEVEL!
In all seriousness.. Yes.. I'd judge a Newgrounder by their age but generally imagine they're all older than 17

Yeah, a lot of the time a user will say something retarded and looking at their profile, they're 13 - so that matches up just fine.
I get suspicious when 14 year olds write really well written, meaningful posts.

Why is this? I'm not trying to be self-centered when I say this, but usually I try to make well-written meaningful posts and I'm 14. What makes it so suspicious?

I remember my first post here when I was 12 years old. Could not really make sense of my words because I was new to the internet and "stealing" people's sigs. Looking back at it now, I was a moron or sounded like one at the least.

I remember back in the day where you knew who the kids were because they signed up as 99 years old.
That was a great post. Right Zach?
