I just don't get it I watched a few episodes of the first season and I just don't see why it was so good. Can someone please explain why this show lasted so long? In fact was it even SUPPOSED to be funny? Help me out here!

It's not in your face like Family Guy and The Simpsons. The jokes are a little more subtle and the plot in each episode deals with these sort of everyday situations, but kind of exaggerates them in a way. Does that make sense? Once you watch it enough times, you might appreciate it. I know I wasn't into the show right away.

If you're expecting something slapstick, you won't find it.

I love the show. The humor's usually not painfully obvious like Family Guy or shows like that. You sort of need to know the characters before it starts to become humorous. But if you don't like it, the humor's probably not for you. Part of why I like it is because I know people who act pretty much just like Hank.

King of the hill makes fun of real life problems, I actually think it's a pretty good show. I wish it wasn't cancelled.

It's not vulgar, in your face, and doesn't have a laugh track. That doesn't make it not funny; it's longevity proves there's a fanbase for this kind of stuff. Ask one of them, one-on-one.

It's funny because you get this really normal kind of guy, and you surround him with people that are all a bit crazy. I don't really know why it was so popular either. I just think Beavis and Butt-head should have kept going. But I guess Mike Judge grew up and crossed the line from making fart jokes, and saying bunghole all the time, to making fun of.... see, that when I get lost, I don't know why King Of The Hill is funny, it just can be sometimes, but it definately isn't laugh out loud funny on a steady basis.

Ageed, I dont think everyshow on TV has to be extreamly hilarious and be completly random. KOTH actully has good plots and is fun to watch.
