Sup. Commander. What now? 2010-06-10 09:27:11 Reply

I'm curious to know what should one do after reaching Sup. Commander. Does one still accumulate points? Do those points add to more power after reaching Sup. Commander? What is Pico's last name? Is he related to Carrot Top?

I need answers.

In case you are being serious here:

Yep, most people continue with gaining BP's. Mostly to compete with other people for higher rankings.

Nope they don't add to your voting power. +60% is the maximum bonus.

What is Pico's last name?

Fulp? I have no idea. I don't think he even has one.

Is he related to Carrot Top?

Who? :p

First, congrats on becoming the 169th Supreme Commander! If you haven't seen the topic, we wage epic battles in this thread well beyond Supreme Commander.

I would work on your whistle status.
I calculated that it would take about 10 years to become a Sup. Commander, is this true?

The account I'm using is less than 2 years old, and other than a two week period when I had no internet, I've blammed or protected almost every submission that's come through the portal since it was made and I'm already a Commander, so I think your calculations are off a bit. I may post in this thread when I hit Supreme Commander, just to see/show you how long it actually takes.

Yeah thats definitely not true.
I've voted on roughly 95% of the submissions that have been coming through for nearly a year and am currently a Lieutenant.
To put that in perspective I wasn't even in the Police rankings when I started.
So if I keep going at the pace I'm at I should hit Supreme Commander in about 2 years at the very most.

Back in the day you could reach Supreme Commander in less than a year. These days, like Viper said, it'll take you around 2 years to reach it, assuming you vote on at least 90+% of the flashes submitted.

I guess some people are still able to get there in about two years time, but with the portal's current activity and the recently adjusted score criteria it has probably become nearly undoable to reach Sup Commander so quickly.

I mean, only about 50 submissions are submitted each day nowadays so it'll take approximately two years already if you manage to catch all of them. For anyone who spends most of his day at school or at work I think it's more likely to take three or four years provided that you actively participate in voting on UJ submissions for that long.

My calculations were based on me having gained 60 b/p in a week and multiplying that by 52 and 10 to get a little over 30k. If you truly commit though I suppose it can take a few years, thank god.

Those calculations could be considered true. But only for you and anyone else who gets only about 60 b/p points a week.
But thats not always the case. Like I posted earlier in this thread I vote on almost everything that comes through the portal. And I have little doubt that I got more than 150 b/p points last week alone. Even broke 13,000 points earlier this month so I'm almost halfway to Supreme Commander and I only started voting at the pace I'm currently going at less than a year ago.

it'll be a year sometime late next month
