Alright, first of all, let me lay some fact-bombs down on you.
Unless otherwise stated, this apply only to the orignal trilogy.
FACT: Only six black people appear in all of the original Star Wars trilogy
FACT: Only one of them (Land Calrisian) is named and has more than one line
FACT: No black people appear at all in the first Star Wars movie, A New Hope
FACT: Lando is the only black character to appear in more than one Star Wars movie, the other 5 (three unnamed rebel trooper in the Battle of Endor and an unnamed X-Wing pilot) both only appear in The Return of The Jedi
FACT: While Han Solo is frozen in carbonite, Lando borrows the Millenium Falcon without permission and, at one point, wears Han's fucking clothing. Seriously.
FACT: Of the 5 unnamed black characters, the X-Wing pilot receives only one line, while the 3 black rebel trooper receive none
FACT: However, one of the black troopers (the one that's in the strike force to blow up the power generator) appears in more than one scene, making him the second most seen black character in Star Wars
FACT: All of the black characters fight for the rebel alliance and either serve as high ranking officers or play a key role in important battles
FACT: Although several characters are awarded medals or awards throughout the trilogy, no black characters are shown to receive any (not even Lando
FACT: At least one of all the black characters from Star Wars have confirmed criminal backgrounds
FACT: Of all the slaves shown in the Star Wars trilogy (and this one goes for the prequel trilogy, as well), none are black.
FACT: There are at least as many, or more, overweight fighter pilots as there are black fighter pilots shown flying for the rebel alliance

Discuss what conclusions can be drawn based upon this evidence.

Attached is a compilation of the intergalactic brothers, who are presumably paid less and have latrine duty more often than their white intergalactic counterparts (except the X-Wing guy, I couldn't find him again).

There's tons of black people in Episode IV. It's just that you can't see them because space is black as well.

However the voice of Darth Vader is a black guy, and what part of Star wars is more memorable then his voice?

Who cares about the lack of black people in Star Wars?

I'm more bothered about the lack of green people in The Shawshank Redemption. Where is racial equality now?

Because if there's a lack of parts for black people, it's obviously racist. Oh hey guys, Deja Vu!

I mean seriously, get a grip.

Actually, the only episode in the ORIGINAL trilogy that has the characters receive metals is Episode 1 (Episode 4 for you new name wanna haves)

And that is before Lando is actually brought into the movie.

As for fact characters who are black and flying the X-Wings. Um, Porkins his a huge fatass and even the family guy star wars makes fun of him being a fat ass. Plus his name is PORKins, and he crashes and dies...

After watching spaced this afternoon, I can pass on this gem. Ok here goes; If the gunner on the star destroyer in the first film had fired at C3PO and R2D2, they rest of the film would have never happened, due to the series of ebent's them landing on tatooine caused. Lovely example of chaos theory.

I've posted this before and I'll post it again.

Hooper: Always some white boy gotta invoke the holy trilogy. Bust this: Those movies are about how the white man keeps the brother man down, even in a galaxy far, far away. Check this shit: You got cracker farm boy Luke Skywalker, Nazi poster boy, blond hair, blue eyes. And then you got Darth Vader, the blackest brother in the galaxy, Nubian god!

Banky Edwards: What's a Nubian?

Hooper: Shut the fuck up! Now... Vader, he's a spiritual brother, y'know, down with the force and all that good shit. Then this cracker, Skywalker, gets his hands on a light saber and the boy decides he's gonna run the fuckin' universe; gets a whole clan of whites together. And they go and bust up Vader's hood, the Death Star. Now what the fuck do you call that?

Banky Edwards: Intergalactic civil war?

Hooper: Gentrification! They gon' drive out the black element to make the galaxy quote, unquote, safe for white folks. And Jedi's the most insulting installment! Because Vader's beautiful black visage is sullied when he pulls off his mask to reveal a feeble, crusty, old white man! They tryin' to tell us that deep inside we all wants to be white!

Banky Edwards: Well, isn't that true?

[Hooper pulls out his gun, shoots Banky]
