4.02 / 5.00 43,168 ViewsWow, it seems all my topics lately relate to comic movies... BUT ANYWAY!
So a movie about everyone's favorite comic-book mercenary has been greenlighted! That's right, the merc with a mouth is going to be stabbing, shooting, and choking people with chihuahuas on the big screen (and probably in 3D). Ryan Reynolds has stated that he will be keeping his role, but it will be a completely different character from the one in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, thank Buddha. In fact, here's an interview on the subject. The production team really wants to keep Deadpool like he is in the comics, breaking the fourth wall and such. Is everyone excited? I know I am!
this came out 4 months after the wolverine movie

I know, but no one made a topic. Let's talk about it.
Sounds cool, I don't know anything about Deadpool though. Never read any of the comics. But the same goes for Spider-Man, and X-Men, and I enjoyed those movies immensely.
Ryan Reynolds, Marvel Comic Book Movie, cool sounding name like Deadpool... I'm in.
Im waiting for Captain America and Magneto Movies to ya know.

Me too, WWII and Marvel. But I think Cap's already got a topic.

oh shit a magneto movie
i might actually watch a marvel film if this is the case
I liked how he was in the Deadpool movie. I'm hoping the movie fills the gap from the beginning of Wolverine to the end, when he was awesome-ified. Also, I kinda wanna see him in something resembling his awesome costume (considering X-Men's hate for colorful costumes, this may not happen).

If Marvel knows whats good for them they will have at least one scene with the full body suit. If not they might have some very angry movie-goers on their hands.
Huh?

One scene should be easy enough, but... X-Men WAS the first superhero movie/franchise of the new millenium. They may think themselves as above such fans!

Hopefully they are not to big for their briches just yet. (Prays to God)
Unless they plan to have the movie take place before Deadpool's face turns into a ugly, cancer-scared mug, then I would expect a lot of mask time.
Huh?
In the interview he sort of hints that he will be disfigured and be wearing his costume. I mean, it makes sense, since he wears the mask to cover up his disfigurement. They've made it very clear they do not want this to connect to the X-Men version.
I didn't watch the whole Wolverine movie, but I know Deadpool is badass. So I'm def going to watch this.
This is a sig. Okay?

I'm inclined to disagree. He's the Merc with a Mouth...said mouth, however, was sewn up for half the movie. Lamesauce. And not a single instance of breaking the fourth wall. Could I get some fail fries with? I'm just glad the movie is going ahead as planned. Sticking Deadpool into a movie, then NOT giving him his own franchise is the film equivalent of a cock tease. As for Reynolds playing Deadpool? Fantastic choice. I have high hopes for the guy, as well as the movie. I just really...REALLY...hope that they stick to the comics as closely as possible. And I'll dropkick the nearest person to me in the theatre if he goes costume-less in the movie.

I didn't see the wolverine film, but from what I heard it wasn't really deadpool. I hope they keep reasonably close to the comics

They're coming out with Captain America already. Looks pretty badass. I definitely am seeing it when it comes out. As for a Magneto movie, I'm not sure. They've probably got it somewhere in the works.

I dunno, It's probably going to be a cross between Requiem for a Dream and the Wrestler, but probably more like the Wrestler. Wolverine goes to Japan to train with a master, its based on a comic but I can't remember which one...
I don't think Ryan Reynolds plays a good Deadpool. Granted he's got that slick, cocky attitude you would expect Deadpool to have, but he just seems to soft.
I guess maybe he could pull it off.
