Wearing Sunglasses 24/7

I've asked around and I haven't really met anyone else with this particular little idiosyncrasy, so I figured I'd try asking everyone else here. Also, I can't afford any trips to optometrists or ophthalmologists, and I've had some pretty painful experiences at past eye exams.

As many people here may know, I have a habit of wearing shades almost 24/7 all year round. I tend to take them off only when I'm asleep or in the shower, and it hurts not to wear them. The reason for that is because my eyes are extremely sensitive to both natural and artificial light, and in many ways it's kind of disconcerting. Most of my friends and family members seldom wear sunglasses, and when they do, it's usually only during bright and sunny days. I can't count how many times that people have pointed to me saying, "THIS GUY WEARS SUNGLASSES INDOORS LOLOLOLOL."

Anyway, how do you all feel about wearing sunglasses to the extent that I do? Is it a problem, and if so, how can I get it comfortably rectified? Should I focus on treatment or just continue doing what I'm doing? Also for those of you that also have sunglasses, how often do you wear them, and do you see a problem with having them on indoors or at night?

It's a little weird, but I can understand why some people would wear sunglasses outside the morning hours, so they can so they can keep track of the visions in their eyes while she's deceiving them it cuts their security. Has she got control of them? They turn to her and say, "Don't switch the blade on the guy in shades."

That is exactly why you shouldn't wear sunglasses all the time - extra sensitivity to light does tend to happen when you're always looking at the world through dark lenses.

But then, I'm a person who doesn't wear shoes in or out, so my disapproval on idiosyncrasies like wearing your sunglasses all the time is next to useless.

Legally blind people have to wear shades because they only have rod cells in their eyes and can only see low level light, and have no colour vision. Anything beyond low level light becomes a white blur.

Yeah I get the same thing. My eyes are really fucking red all the time because they are sensitive, and I always get asked if I'm high. But I don't wear sunglasses just for that reason, of people making fun or whatever.

Usually I can just tough it out and live with it. I have a pair of sunglasses but I don't usually wear them.

sounds like you've got eye sensitivity. Albinos have it also, because of the lack of coloration in their eyes, they are extremely sensitive to sunlight, or light in general.

I'd suggest you research getting colored contact lenses without magnified lenses. that way you'll be less sensitive.
