I named Balkenende that way because he IS a 'bak ellende' (I'm glad he's gone). And I named Yolanthe like that because her last name (which I can't come up right now) sounds like 'kabeljauw'.

Such good play from Podolski allowing Klose a neat little tap in. It's his 100th cap I believe, so very nice for him! If this sticks, Neuer deserves a large collection of sweets after dinner. Argentina have been such a on-the-edge attacking force in the second half, and he's dealt with them well at the end of each play, mostly. The second German goal was somewhat surprising in this case.

The Argentines have just been lifeless since the third goal. Klose's second was siple, but nice and swish. The German team, like I said before, is just full of good all-rounders. The defense is too powerful for a team that relies primarily on uber-powerful attacks. Too bad guys, Brazil will be a redeeming chance in 2014.

Yeah, this is my favourite part of watching Germany play too. The tournament started with everyone complaining and teams playing far too defensively, and Germany made an impression by just stacking goals upon goals. That's why I'm also happy with the lot of them being comparatively young with regards to other world-class squads, so it might carry over into the next tournaments.

But who knows, the South American teams may be hitting it back in particular.

I'm hoping for a Germany-Netherlands final, but Spain-Netherlands would be good too. Both need a cup :)
