Guys, probably best not take the ever-present bait.
Anyway, Argentina-Mexico was entertaining, but my God, if there was ever a more valid reason to contemplate video technology usage like you guys have been talking about, it was that first 'goal'. Sure, showing the offside on the screen was an error by the operator (hope they find another job quickly...), but how quickly did it prove the foul? A few seconds? I can understand why the Mexicans were pissed, and why there was some anger aimed at the officials at half time. I don't know about the repeal bit. Like C-Hawk said, it was probably the Mexican players crowding around the referee that laid that idea to rest ultimately, but what's the ref to do anyway? Damn it FIFA.
Argentina were the better side, though Mexico started good. I'm glad Mexico got one back, because it wasn't a walkover or anything, despite the critical Mexican defense errors. Better luck next time guys, you've been an entertaining side.
Now, Argentina-Germany... again, I'm lost!

Which made me giggle at first, but then Gary Linekar made a gag about members of the 1986 England squad joining in for some sort of a surreal re-enactment.

Maradona gets let off for being somewhat insane, but... ugh.
