I wouldn't say England have played "fucking amazing" by any stretch of the imagination. They've done well and looked stronger than in previous matches, but they have to keep up the pressure and not let the 1-0 lead make them complacent.
There's still better teams out there than Slovenia that they'll have to face if they manage to keep up the lead. Still, I'm happy thus far. Come on, England!

blah blah US offside.
the US needs to stop giving up so many great shots
I didn't know they made tubes and what is that, plasma? Welcome to the 21st brah
Finish! We just need to finish. We're getting the chances but just need to follow through.
It's going to be interesting second half where both sides are going to have to end up throwing everybody forward to win.
In the words of any big bellyied brit....
COME ON ENGLAND!

LOL. I got that little TV when I was a kid for my NES
the bigger one is an LCD. it's like 2 years old.
lol yellow for England
Ooooow. Almost a dream start for England in the second half.
England sure plays a lot better than in their former matches. They just gotta be more efficient with their finishing.
apparently professional footballers still have the grade-school problems with offsides.
half of England's squad, and one Algerian in the last few minutes

naw, he got a couple of finger tips on it, pushed it just enough to hit the goalpost
England should watch out for an equalizer :o
Slovenia had a few good chances thus far and had England been less fortunate at least one could've gone in. So it's about time they make a second, otherwise it's still gonna be a tough match for them.
So many close calls in US v Algeria. I'm almost neglecting watching England v. Slovenia. Whenever I do notice it, it's some slo-mo of Roonie getting subbed out

The other day during a match they did one of those pans to the coach of a team, and it kept zooming in to his face...and in..and in.. and while all this zooming is happening, you could hear some action on the feild, the ref was blowing his whistle and you could hear the crowd. but the camera didn't leave the coache's face until after it did a long, slow zoom to his eyes and stick there for a good 5-10 seconds.
By the time it went back to the field, the ref was writing something on his yellow card but the commentators didn't have a clue who got booked or why.

Hopefully this time it won't be "disallowed"
More importantly, can they hold the lead?
Final score: 1-0.
England are through, but it was rocky towards the end. They need to reaslise now that it's clear they have the ability. Slovenia weren't great for the most part of it, but it showed when they were attack minded. England need to keep the closeness in mind.
Well done to USA for that late goal. I didn't even know about it when typing this message! I think the winners reflect the play in the groups, as much as Slovenia were more impressive than I imagined.
I'd say that overall England were much, much better than the previous outings, and duly deserved their victory. It was a much more attacking performance, with Rooney much more involved, with quality service from the right with Milner on a number of occasions.
Kudos also goes to the USA, who not only managed to get a win in the dying embers of the game, but also won the group. That means you will get the runners-up to the Serbia, Ghana, Germany, Australia group.

I was trembling, Slovenia really gave it a go in the last 5-10 minutes. Gotta say, even though I do slate him, Upson made a wonderful challenge with 2 minutes to go, Brilliant.
