My crappy arts

I'm a little confused about how the art portal works and everything. I've uploaded art, and even though i havent been scouted, i have reviews on some of my arts. im wondering where people find my art? or do they just click on my name via one of my flash reviews?

That's what we're all about here. Not doing things that are expected of us. For example, you expected your question answered so he didn't. This is an Art forum so you would be expected to post your art here... So please don't. Please...

They either find you through your name, flashes, posts etc, or in the unscouted section, you can't see it cause you aren't scouted but thats where people would see it.

And IMO it is abusing filters if what your filtering is a circle

Yeah it is a filter-rape if your picture is incredibly simple and took probably 5 minutes to make you know what I would do,

-ADD SHADOWS NOT THROUGH FILTER BUT FROM THE BRUSH TOOL
-REVISE THE DESIGN YOU INTENDED
-ADD A BACKGROUND YOU PUT EFFORT IN

Now if your trying to go for the simple illustration look then make it smaller, frame it without the background, and use a mask over the top to illustrate shadows.

i did add shadows with a brush (hard to see) and this was meant to be kinda trippy

This one really really sucks. Try spending twenty minutes on a drawing and see how that works. Doesn't matter what you draw. You'll be please with the results, I promise.

unscouted section, where all art starts off, using lighting effects is lazy, just add em in by hand itll look more natural, plus stay away from the plastic wrap filter, i know it seems cool but its not

err well heres a tribute to Paul Gray i made. i know its simple and blah blah but apparently i have to post it? i did have dates in the lower corners, but the file got corrupted or something, however i still have this version, you can see the dates on my art submissions anyways.
