He was hanging on to a moving car, while on a skateboard. They were going about 25 or something, kilometers an hour... He let go, fell, hit his head real hard, went unconscious and the brain started swelling up or something, he could either be kept alive on life support for 6 weeks or the parent's could pull the plug. They chose the latter, he was bound to die anyway they said. They donated his organs.

Story.

Yeah, whatever.

I'm sorry. That's an unfortunate mishap. People do that to cars all the time too, this is the first time I heard a death occurring from it.

The words "deserved it" kind of scream out though, really why do something so stupid as that.

I wouldn't call it stupid; a lot of skaters skitch..or at least i've seen old acquaintances of mine do it on occasion.

It's unfortunate that skating has a lot of inherent risks; sorry to hear about your friend.

All of the people calling the kid stupid need to get off their high horse and quit acting like they've never done something stupid before. I wouldn't even say the kid was stupid at all, he just made a foolish choice and it cost him everything. I've done plenty of stupid things like this when I was younger, I just never had to suffer any consequences from them that were as serious as the kid in the article did.

I guess this might show up on the Wikipedia article about people who have died unusual deaths. It is sad, because at first I thought you were talking about a dog that died (come on, how many people are named "Buddy" as opposed to pets?), but it is actually about an actual person who died, which makes it even worse.
