Hey dude, don't obsess over being an icon mod, it's starting to make me not like you.
There's very little to no differences between these two submissions.
Same for this.

Looks like he didn't know about the ability to replace an existing SWF... I deleted the older versions.
How does this even work?
More broken submissions.
Submission doesn't show up. It's probably broken considering its file size.

Hmm, I'm highly suspicious about this one. I've had a few deja vus with the games I've played. A few examples are:
I'm holding off gamesubmission for the time being. I don't know what's the deal with this guy but most of the games I came across were already existent from another author. Exact same game and everything. Instead of gamesubmission I'll take care of the following:
I emailed the two developers behind the original versions of those games, checking to see if they have any relationship with gamesubmission or if the games were simply stolen. It's possible gamesubmission is decompiling games and putting their own ads in them, or they might just be licensing them or working as a distribution network... Hopefully I'll hear something soon.
I think we'll see these monthly lists getting shorter as we get closer to the launch date of the 140x90 submission form... Getting there!
"I believe I sold them some kind of source license a while ago that lets them do that. Although it's not what I expected, they do own rights to the material.
Their model is to buy licenses for very old material (months after release) and then repost them as sequels.
I Lol'd when I saw this though. They didn't even bother with a reskin."
So the question now is... Do we just delete ALL their stuff, or only delete the known repeats?

It's a tricky one. It's not exactly black and white with who has the right to upload it but I feel if they didn't make it on their own behalf, they shouldn't be uploading it at all. I'm sure you have a better idea than I do but even if we do keep that uploader, the duplicates should go because there's no point in having repeats and the fact that they're trying to make some of them off as sequels is very misleading.
Actually I'm just deleting the entire account. HOW ABOUT DEM APPLES
Sorry for the time you spent making thumbnails for some of those :(
The account is queued up for the next time the cleanup script runs.

I imagined the lists from now until May 2010 would be really small. Once we take all the authors with at least one front paged flash down, I wonder where we'll go next. I was thinking of extracting a list of users who appear on the needed genres list that also need new icons. I also have my old spreadsheet file where I had a long list of authors I found from random submissions as well as when I was going through collection pages.

Shit happens. I should have stopped making icons for gamesubmission as soon as I checked the Goblin game. Even without gamesubmission's icons, I've still made over 100 icons today.

The lists were coming out small until I got to November 2009, which came out really big. I'll be posting those lists up later today. I'm stuck at home today waiting for some Salvation Army guys to come and pick up some old furniture, so I'm gonna try to rock some genre info.
Once we get through May 2010 we should be in pretty good shape for launch, but I'll be able to keep going through stuff on staging and finding more people - a lot of the collections still have missing scattered thumbnails.
Nothing seems to work except for tutorial.
I just want to say that MagicWandLock is one of the finest Lock Legion artists I've come across. He seems rather exceptional from the crew so I'm happy I went through his movies.

Yeah, about those collections. I remember I was going through Lock Day 2006 up until I went on hiatus with icon/genre modding. Once we can put our focus on collections, I know what to work on.
Next artists to take:
By the way, my icon count didn't consider the deletion of gamesubmission. I was expecting a drop but didn't see it go down once.
According to my notes, no one has called these from the current lists:
"All right. I'm alive again!"

I'll take these two for the moment.
Here is the calm before the coming storm of October!
Unrelated to the front page archive, here are three more if anyone wants to call 'em:
The next lot to take:
My god you are a MACHINE! I have a bunch more monthly lists at the office so I can start posting those tomorrow, but here are the notes I jotted down yesterday morning while doing genres. Salvation Army came pretty early so I didn't do genres for as long as planned, but we're below the 60k view threshold now!
People with 60k+ view submissions that didn't have thumbnails:

Any Transformers fans?

Dragon, machine, at least I'm not human. :P

If there's any game makers out there or any clocks/locks, I'm willing to take them down. For the time being, I'll go along with:
October thru December 2009 are a bit rough, but early 2010 is looking good so we'll just have to push through this wall to get there!
