Hmm... might want to update a few things prior to that layout change then. You can't change the icon of an audio submission once it's been uploaded and with certain submissions (for me that is like three quarters of my songs) can't be edited in any way at all (is it that way with Flash too? I don't think it is).

And yeah... The whole CD icon is already outdated I guess.

It would be nice to have just a square. Like album art. Perhaps even with an option to download a higher resolution image to go with the song when played back in media players/iPods whatever. The only songs on my ipod without album art are NG submissions and that bugs me.

I don't have an iPod, but this makes alot of sense. Are the album-art standard-sized for other players than iPods too? I'm a little lost in that field, i still use my old crappy SonyEricsson for listening to music... :)

i'll give you 50 cents for every icon. i think i made alot of movies and games so it might be lucrative. or not. But then again its not that hard. I just hate looking at my old stuff.

Not sure what you mean but you can use any picture for album art really, anything from a 46*46 icon (which will inevitably look shitty) to a computer wallpaper. It's resized to whichever space you display it on. Pictures over ca 200*200 will look good for most purposes

Ah, cool. Well, either way, it'd be cool if there was a good way for audio artists and art-portal artists to find eachother with artwork for music, probably alot more appealing if there was a system on NG that promoted that. And of course, if there would be artwork available for iPods etc, thatd be cool. Maybe there could be a download-option with or without album-art, i dunno...

This is probably the best way to get spammers, well not really but the ones who put the offensive icons as their flash icons.

Though the new spam flashes will have icons, it will knock out some of the old.
