There's this video on the internet of these southern guys who know how to get oil out of a body of water. They use these two kinda of grasses and when its mixed in with the oil/water all the oil and oil only sticks to the grass and the water is left COMPLETELY oil free. Its clear enough to drink out of.

Well actually that didn't answer your question at all because that was about cleaning up the oil but whatever.
