Also, tests say that Firefox is the fastest. And addons, while not vital, are pretty handy.

I think that Internet Explorer is like the beginner's pack for starting to use the internet. After you start using a computer more often, you discover other browsers you prefer like Firefox, Chrome, Opera, etc. Internet Explorer kind of starts you off and you learn from there.
