The video above lampoons the current state of TV. It isn't intended as comedy or drama, but just as a small commentary about what TV has become in my eyes. It also features some weird bondage.
What is TV in your eyes?
like youtube but with less choices. TV is mostly obsolete with the advent of the internet.

Do you like it? What would you want to see on TV?

I don't think it's obsolete, but I think that it could become obsolete in time. For all the choices you get on youtube, there is still so much crap on youtube that is not worth watching. But you're right. The people on youtube are spending no money, to make stuff as unwatchable as the stuff that costs millions of dollars to make for television.
I'm curious to know what shows, if any, people are watching? Also, do you think that youtube is better than television?
Do you think that when youtube becomes saturated with advertisements (more so) that it will be less popular?
Some T.V shows are alright, but most are pretty stupid in my opinion. And those bad T.V shows make up about 75-80% of MTV.
I can say with confidence that TV in the last 10 years or so is the best it had ever been.
Even if you only look at 2005-2010, you have the likes of Rome, Breaking Bad, Supernatural, True Blood, Life On Mars, Ashes to Ashes and the majority of Deadwood and Battlestar Galactica. Looking ahead, you have A Game of Thrones and Boardwalk Empire coming up. No other decade even comes close.

You know what, I am inclined to agree with you. That was a convincing list of television shows to back it up.
I have worked in the film industry for a few years and some of the technical advances (mostly in video editing and digital technology) have allowed for very high production values at lower costs. There is a lot of TV now that has the capability of 'looking' like movies. Rome is a great example of an incredible television series. However, it also had an unusually high budget (I believe it was over 100 million for the first season). I also loved the UK version of Life on Mars.
That said there is a vast majority of garbage on television and I think that the format needs to reconsider it's abilities. The unfortunate thing about the advantage of digital filming is that it allows for reality TV to be shot at very minimal expenses. I worked on a reality show called Bodog Battle of the Bands and there were several hundred hours of footage for the first series. On digital film this is very inexpensive, but on 35mm that would have cost millions and millions of dollars!!!
There are still great things on TV that people on youtube with no budget just can't recreate. That said, there is a lot of freedom of expression on youtube which is a refreshing breath of air. The combination of both offers a wide selection of entertainment, so I don't think it needs to be one or the other.
