New artist, any ideas?

Hey guys, I'm a new artist and I draw cartoon-ish stuff and animals, I was wondering if anyone could give me some tips or something, because I suck.

hmmm it seems like you rush it, slowly draw your outline sketch, I perfer starting with the head myself, maybe a bit of shading? or slowly blend your outline with a qtip. this is a good way to shade and probably help with your eyes. again take your time, lightly draw so you can erase any mistakes.

Definetly not a bad start. I'm not sure of your techniques, but it seems to me that you don't block your pics out with simple shapes first, or if you do, you don't stick to those shapes when you finalize the lines. Also, spend more time on some of the dtails you may no think matter like the legs. Don't simply put a peanut shape, take the time to draw it with more original shape and detail. Like I said, you're starting at a good point and you demonstarte an understanding of cartoon anatomy which is important, but take a little bit more time, plan your shapes better, and practice

yeah it does seem like you just draw it once with no underlying outline or anything, which, as simple (and unimportant) as it sounds, IS very important, and can help make your picture look 10 times better
shapes, like said above, help form the basic structure; after all, everything can be made into a simple shape. circle for the head, ovals/circles for eyes, maybe triangles if you add ears? stuff like that
another example, your squirrel's tail MAY seem hard to make out of shapes (idk it might be hard for you) the end is a circle, and the part that connects the butt to the circular part of the tail is a cylinder

i hope you can find sense in this. frankly, im starting to confuse myself, so im stopping :3
