my toe

ok, so i've got an ingrown toenail on my big toe, and i am wondering if it is serious.
do you need to see a doctor for an ingrown toenail, or will it go away itself eventually?
because right now it's swollen, red and it emits a different colour of pus every day.

anyone care to give medical advice?

Yes. It's very serious. If a toenail is ingrown it can grow a special type of foot fungus which can spread to your ankles, legs, and pelvis. This will require amputation.... I suggest you cut off your toe IMMEDIATELY if you wish to stop the fungi from spreading.

go se a doctor. they will have to numb you toe and cut the nail piercing into soft flesh under your toenail. then they will have stuff it with cause so the nail can resume growing normally. if you dont go to the doctor it will just get worse and worse .. i used to get those all the time as a kid.. i even know how to operate on it myself.. i wouldn't recommend it unless you know what your doing

dude, shut the fuck up, i don't know much about it but i am pretty sure my toe doesn't need to be amputated, I'm serious guys do i need to see a doctor or not?

Yes, after drinking the chlorine, you have to amputate it, for i fear it is too late.
One final thing you can do to save your genitals is put Bengay and IcyHot on them.

Doctors will nothing for you. They are in the secret union against ingrown toenails and will just torch your legs. For your own good, just amputate your foot.

I had one of those. Went to the doctor and got some cream and anti-biotics and I soaked my toe in hot water with epsom salts and it took a few months but it got better.

Dont worry, i was playing Soccer on Sunday and my toenail split in half - right down the middle.
Stuff like that hurts like a bitch, but if the doctors have to remove the nail dont worry because it only hurts for about ten minutes ;)

Okay, if your toe is seriously admitting pus every day, then you have to be sure to get that taken care of. I have seldom had run-ins with pus as I do not even know what that stuff is made of. Be sure to get everything taken care of as soon as possible. That reminds me, I just bumped my little toe yesterday, but it's fine now.

Its pretty bad news and you need to get it fixed as soon as you can. My grandpa had one so bad it grew all the way through his toe. It caused a very bad infection.

It doesn't go away itself, unfortunately. I have the same problem, and I advise you see a doctor. It's not serious, but it's better off treated sooner.
