If you have a pile of money sitting around, go with an Alienware. They make damn good computers.

I forgot to mention, I was hoping for something in the < $600 range. I was wondering about Alienware though. Sounds like pretty kickass stuff...
If you don't wanna spend more than 600 bucks, I wouldn't even bother with Alienware...
And any laptop that isn't older than 2006 can run HL2...
If you want my advice, get a desktop.Their value for money is much, much better, with 600 dollars you can get an average gaming desktop, but only a low-end laptop...

I am looking for something rather portable, though, something I can lug around with me from place to place (for the weekends, for instance.) I could imagine doing that with a desktop, perhaps...
