What's up! Welcome to Newgrounds! I'm a new user too. I've just created my account about a week ago.
That's a nice pic btw.. :D:D:D:D:D
that is very amazing, u should put it on your account, if u have 4 pieces up u can get scouted or something like that and your art starts to show in the art portal (correct me if i'm wrong but that is the way i understand it).
his head seems a bit small to me, or his shoulders to big, but nothing that is abnormally, it still looks very naturally.
got more?
Programming is a race between software engineers building bigger and better programs, and the Universe producing bigger and better idiots. So far, the Universe is winning.

this and the upper body is a bit too long, and the abdomen a bit too thin, hes kinda got a hunchback but apart from that it looks great nothing wrong apart from some easy to fix anatomy errors
Really funky style you got going on here. I would love to see you post more.
The upperbody seems a bit skinny, but other than that I love the colors and its well drawn
i'm new too and i'm trying to be scouted in order to appear in the art page. here's my first work of a long series to come, hope you enjoy.
thsnks for the welcome i'll be sure to post more pics

NO! Bad noob! You DO NOT post your art in other people's threads!
Make one for yourself.
As for Tikantz, that's an impressive first piece. I like the things behind/surrounding the character.

i don't know how to do that! i made a post but it didn't appear, what do i have to do?
Nice pic. Better than what I can do lol.
Thank you here is another one i did a while back. oh and how do you edit thread topics?......that's if you can.

You can't. It's there to encourage people to think before they post.
If you want to remake a thread, feel free to send a PM to either ReNaeNae, BlackMarketKraig or myself with your reasons why. The same goes with response removal.
I don't see what's wrong with your thread, though; looks fine to me.
To your pieces: they look great, really moody.
The anatomy problems in your first pic is a confusing mix between two poses, though: if you raise your arms like that your pectoral muscles would stretch and flatten across your chest.
Your shoulders merge from that pose into a relaxed state. In order to get into that pose you've had to lengthen the torso.
OK that answers it, thanks for the crit, here's another pic
Kick-ass, man! A lot of color and character to your...characters. I recommended you for the portal. Keep uploading more stuff! It looks great!
I laugh at your sigs!
Good work. If you submit 4 pieces of art into the art portal I'd scout you. And I'm sure I'm not the only one that would offer.
WHOA!, really? i'll be sure to do so.
Man, if you could apply that talent to something less anime in design, you could really be amazing.
Stuff looks fantastic, my only problem is the faces, they are really stretched out.
On the third one mostly, the eyes are up in the forehead and the mouth is down at the chin.

There's nothing too wrong with anime when it's done properly; despite the fact that this stuff is anime in style, it's stell very well painted and impressive nonetheless. It's a formulaic style, yes, but that doesn't mean it can't be special, and it really doesn't seem to be weighing tikantz down artistically.
I noticed something on the second piece you posted; there's a lit spot on the visible shoulder that doesn't have a light source; I see the little glowing things, but the lit area on the shoulder should be on it's other (the rightmost) side to correspond with one of those. Other than that, that's my favorite of your pieces.

It's just an originality thing. 'Anime' as a style of drawing characters has been so overused, both within anime and without, that you'd probably have a harder time finding a web artist that doesn't draw anime than finding one that does.
I find that it's very difficult for a work done in an unoriginal style to be amazing. Limiting yourself to a style you didn't develop is just, well, boring artistically.
da56's works are very impressive and beautiful (especially this one parentheses laugh) but I still feel that if he used that skill to draw characters in a more original style I would be even more impressed.
This is coming from a person that likes watching anime, by the way, so that's not a bias that's coming into play.

Yeah drop me a PM after you get 4, and I'll send you a scout req asap.
You should really submit this stuff to the art forum.

currently I've been trying semi-realism, hitting tutorials here and there trying to blend art styles...
thank you for the comments and criticisms they've been really helpful.
here are some pics a month old at most, i'll arrange them in order old to recent.
I love her hair, and her mouth. It's a change in style, but it works pretty well.
The eyes, however, look a little strange.
This one's a good piece.

It certainly took me awhile to see this thread. I don't believe I didn't take notice of this earlier! Your works clearly show your talent and style. It's very good. Your coloring technique is so refined, it's just perfect. I certainly like your works. The woman with the curly hair is my favorite.
