Okay, twice in the past day, I've clicked into the bbs and I have been taken to an advertisement. I was browsing the forums moments ago and a pop-up came up and said, "Congratulations Newgrounds.com Visitor! You are the winner for May 9th, 2010! Please select a prize and enter your email on the next page to claim." I x'd the window, and it re-routed me to another ad.
Fucking seriously, I'm fine with the adbars and stuff on the frontpage and on our userpages, but this is just straight up shit now. Let's leave the annoying ads to Youtube, Tom, please.

I don't know, i haven't come across a single full page ad on NG, ever. Are you sure you were visiting NG, and not a NG clone phishing site?

I've had one, yes, ran SuperAntiSpyware (free utility, so I recommend you download it, can be run besides an antivirus) and it stopped happening.
maybe one of the ads contains adware or something, because when I boot under Mac OS-X it doesnt.
I used to get them back in like 2005, Fezz, you using a Windows 98 or something or is your ad blocker all screwy? I haven't gotten a pop-up ad in years.
on NG, plenty everywhere else.

a similar thing has happened to me on various websites.. a random ad pops up and sometimes it will freeze my computer and sometimes it will let me skip the ad.. does it say on the bottom of the ad skip this ad and powered by ******* ?

I use Chrome and Firefox and I've never had an ad like that before.
