There's a reason why some people prefer to download FLAC instead of 320kbps mp3.
Fuck you.
I totally agree, which is why I too use Rhythmbox

yeah, but that takes up hard drive space, and no artwork and book. and if i'm going to burn it to a cd, might as well just buy it.

Actually, I don't do DRM. DRM is for fags and fanboys who think they're "supporting their fave artists" by buying DRM'd shit. I buy CDs and rip'em good. Other than that, I get my music from Jamendo and here.

But even that isn't illegal. Apple has been trying to get making jailbreaking their iDevices illegal for awhile, but it is likely to never happen. And even if it does, developers will still find a way to exploit their devices and nothing they do will stop them. And yes, I for one am a proud owner of a Spirit-jailbroken 32GB iPhone 3GS.
I know, iTunes makes me update pretty much every two weeks and I don't have an iPod; I just use it to organize my music. But I find it much easier to find the music I'm looking for.

and you didn't read my post. you missed the part about stealing apps. last time i checked, stealing was illegal.

So...
Yeah, well WMP wasn't the best choice anyway. Many features like cover flow and view by group are just for aesthetic purposes, things I could mostly do without, since never bother getting the album art for my music. Plus, I don't have an iTunes account, so iTunes won't let me get album art.
You would not believe your eyes if ten million fireflies fucked you with a rake

most of iTunes album art is low-res trash. i either use Discogs or Cover-Paradies. if those don't have what i'm looking for, i scour Google or scan it myself.

But it's not really "stealing". I'm not trying to make this an argument, I'm just saying that it's technically allowed and it's not illegal to jailbreak or modify the iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad, or download 2rd-party apps what so ever. Be in "cracked" apps that are in the Apple store.

anything that is sold for money in the app store that you acquire without paying for, which cATbYtE was suggesting, is stealing. jailbreaking itself is not illegal, which is why i never brought it up. it violates the EULA, but does not break the law. although, what you put on there may.
Vote Green.
Sig by PabMo. Thank you very much.

They don't suck that much. They got operating systems and music players right. It's just that they don't like people who do normal, everyday things with them. And they're a bit hypocritical.
Don't be STOOPID!

My girl's brother has a jailbroken iPod and he has tons of music that he would normally have to pay for. SAme thing with aps too, that is illegal sir.
You mean if someone gave you a jailbroken iPod touch as a gift you would refuse it coz it's jailbroken?!?
I wouldn't refuse it !!

Sorry, I understand your reasoning now. Sorry if it seemed I was turning it into an argument.
Pretend not to care about anything, but be bothered by everything.
You may be fast on the roads but it's no use on the track.

Nah. Shows the kinda person you are, not taking the 2 extra seconds iTunes requires for your iPod and music :P
Plus... well. It lacks the Beatles, AC/DC, and Kid Rock, among others. So... I can see why you wanna switch, besides the reasons you listed
Life is a performance, and the world is full of critics. Give it your all like it's your last show.

Ah, why spend money on shit. Got my iPod in a contest. High value, no money paid. That's a good deal. I could've gotten the marble racer, but I took the iPod instead.

Nice collection, you def got me beat on LP's i only have like 50 of 'em. Everyone should pay for music unless it's given for free by the artist. Piracy ultimately just kills things eventually. Look at the Dreamcast.. And it almost killed Shareware in its' early stages.
