this sounds more like a good idea for a mod, not a full retail release by valve. they'd never sell out like that.

I could see this being a mod of sorts with Gmod. But it might better fit to be called Valve Team racing. With characters from L4d, TF2, HL with Portal since they are in the same universe.

What's one more reason for people to hate Valve? If they make a Mario Kart thing and degrade the entire Half-Life franchise. People would rip Gabe Newell limb from limb if he ever did something like that.

I love Valve personally, but people hate them for how long they take to make games. Half-Life 2 took 6 years (part of which wasn't their fault as the game was hacked into and leaked meaning they had to scrap everything and start over), releasing Left 4 Dead 2 super early and making it like an add on, Steam sucks, their strict banning policy on cheating. Yeah.
