If you can't take much it's even less expensive which is better. If you brew it wrong it tastes like shit but certian stills can reduce the flavour if that happens.

The only danger is if you use the still wrong and don't throw away the first and last bits that come out(one example is the first bit contains metho and nail polish remover, the middle contains ethonol which is the part you drink). Other than that you can make better quality than commercial spirits, where they leave a little of the dangerous parts in.
