I decided to vote Liberal Democrats based on political reform. I'm hoping to see a Lib/Lab coalition which will most likely push through a PR system.
Shit sucks though cause I'm in a safe seat, so it's not like my vote actually matters. Unless shocks and gasps ensue.

If I remember correctly my voting power is about 0.65.

I originally thought it was 20, a horrible estimate, so I decided to see how close I was. Nothing wrong with a want for accuracy, is there? :-(

My Mum and Dad voted Labour after years of Conservatives. When I asked my Mum why she said she felt sorry for Brown.
Goddamnit.

Yes I agree.
I thought it would be better, with Jimmy Carr and that little guy who's name I always forget. I would have hoped when they said 'alternative' they actually would focus ;ess on the election and more on humour. Though I did have a couple of cheeky laughs.
Yes my town is Tory btw.

No need to shout, I'm sorry! I thought the answer would be confusing.
Thanks people.
So is there a certain percentage of voters they aim to ask, or whoever will admit which party they voted for? Did anyone here get asked as they left their polling station?

Polls are like a cake. You take a chunk of the cake; sometimes you get a nice spread of even variance, but then sometimes you end up with a chunk of cake covered in delicious cherries and sauce which doesn't represent the actual cake, based on that you'd assume it's a cake covered in cherries and sauce but it's possible only the little section they took is.
I really hope the polls are wrong, although back in 1992 they were vastly wrong, which is reassuring... although the methods have changed since.

Hm, this is interesting regarding the people being turned away for voting, seems very iffy. Does anyone know if anything can come of it if it turned out that a constituency where this happened (people unable to vote due to poor organisation) was really close, maybe a few votes difference?

To be honest, I wasn't entirely sure about it myself and I've no excuse as I'm nearly ten years older than you, I had to double check the meaning.
If you need to find out definitions, though, just type in "define: phrase" into google and most of the time you'll come out with the answer you were looking for.
The trouble with these polls is that they're only based on a small sample of people, rather than everyone, and not everyone will reveal who they've voted for. So it's only based on a group of people who're prepared to tell the people conducting the exit poll who they've voted for.

Anyone else not appreciate the Greece jibe? Just as the guy was leaving Piers Morgan and crew. Someone mentioned Greece burning or on fire, and then the guy was like "Not in this weather" or something, then a few laughs.
Was I the only one who found this completely disgusting? Considering Greeces situation.
