I'm gonna have fun with this >:)
The Genre You Like: Rock/Metal
Thoughts on each genre:
Rock/Metal - Nonconformists who enjoy pissassing around. There are exceptions.
Pop/Pop-punk/Hiphop/R&B - Haven't really seen anyone who likes these, so I can't formulate an opinion
Rap - Three words to describe the musicians: Retards attempting poetry. For the fans, well the apples don't fall too far from the tree now do they?
Electronica/Dance - People looking to have some fun.
Country - Emos that act tough
Classical - Respectable people, I would have to say
Jazz - Again, also respectable
Well that was fun.

Thoughts on each genre:
Rock/Metal -
It's good.
Pop/Pop-punk/Hiphop/R&B -
I like some pop like Bjork, Sugarcubes, that kind of thing. It's like pop with the rock mentality behind it. Not keen on hip-hop except for a couple of songs/groups. R&B can fuck off.
Rap -
Same as hip-hop.
Electronica/Dance -
Aphex Twin, Boards of Canada, Muslimgauze. I like electronic music that has a bit of thought or depth to it. I can't stand techno or un-tss un-tss music.
Country -
No. When I was eight my mum got into country and started blasting it everywhere we went. I've hated it from the first time I ever heard it, and I still remember the lyrics to the song:
I'm going through the big D,
I don't mean Dallas.
I got the car,
She got the palace.
Yeah it was a song about divorce, which as I would later find out is a prominent theme in country music.
Classical -
Some, like Shostakovich, and some other stuff.
Jazz -
Again, some. Not a big fan but I don't mind. I hate what they call scat-singing. Partly because whenever I see/hear the word "scat" it conjures up visions of middle-aged Japanese women shitting on each others' faces.

Metal (mainly)
Thoughts on each genre:
Rock/Metal - I think Metal is the biggest musical genre of our era. It is a very diversified genre, the huge amount of genres and sub-genre in metal (folk, black, death, doom, thrash, heavy, progressive, power, neo-classical and their sub-genres) just tends to proove that metal is very creative, diversified and that it's taking influences from many genres and that it can push music even further.
Rock is also pretty good. Soft rock and post-rock are very interresting genres. There is a lot of work putted on the ambiences and the sound. I like atmospheric metal and atmospheric rock a lot.
Post-rock and Post-metal are awesome genres two :)
Pop/Pop-punk/Hiphop/R&B -
Pop music... in general is not deep, not sophisticated and will go for the same succesful recipes. Write catchy music, with not much tempo variations, identical time signatures all the time, not a lot of research in the sounds and a lack of quality lyrics. Most often, these genres are based much more on the vocal performance than the actual music, so the music is almost always very basic, repetitive and boring. Funny thing is that even the vocals are not better than the music most of the time.
Rap -
Rap is a genre that was fucking destroyed by mainstream medias. The growing popularity of this genre has influenced a lot of people to try making some rap, resulting in mediocre uninspired music. Still, there is some good rap, especially on the underground scene. There is some good french rap, coming from France and good rap from the USA, but avoid going for the popular mainstream stuff and go for underground stuff.
Electronica/Dance -
Not really a big fan of Dance, House and all the club music. But there is a lot of good Trance music, stuff like Infected Mushroom and some good Ambient Electronic music like Ulver. It's a great genre, but I don't know a lot about it. I just know that the popular stuff is crappy repetitive uninspired music.
Country -
I'll just skip this one. I don't know much about Country music.
Classical -
Great! Just great! As a metal fan, I have to admire classical composers. Metal was soooo much influenced by classical music, I would be a fool to dislike classical music.
Ravel, Beethoven, Wagner, Bach... great music :)
Jazz -
Another great genre, one of the biggest influences of metal... and not only metal, but all of todays real music. Blues, Jazz, Rock and Metal owes a lot to Jazz for it is one of the most sophisticated, inspired and original music to ever exist.

The Genre You Like: Rock/Metal
Thoughts on each genre:
Rock/Metal - Much of this is awful, particularly as you stem away from the 60s (I find the 60s/70s had some of the best music)
Pop/Pop-punk/Hiphop/R&B - I dislike these genres, for the most part, though there are numerous exceptions, particularly in pop music.
Rap - Ew. Rap to me says synth drumkit playing a boring, repetitive beat and some guy talking really fast over the top. That said, there are a few exceptions. ONLY A FEW.
Electronica/Dance - Usually dislike this, though some is quite good. I happen to like Lia, and she does a lot of this kind of music.
Country - Don't like or dislike particularly.
Classical - This represents art as music. Generally fantastic pieces.
Jazz - I like jazz. I don't listen to it much, but it's decent music.
Song of the Firefly is on Steam Greenlight and Kickstarter. Give them a look and support the project!
