Jade Empire... most over-rated Gamespot game ever (the critics gave it 98/100 back then... oddly enough, you can't find that score anymore...).
The story developed well at first but then embarrasingly rushed to a conclusion from half of the game onward...
The map was a joke. It showed this extremely vast land, but you could go to something like a third of the empire and the story was so linear that once you finished a city there was no point going back to it... frustrating. [Did I mention the game is really short?]
Oh yeah, the ending is lame and the epilogue for each character is even lamer.
...I felt robbed of my well-earned cash... damn you bioware.

Maybe Metro 2033? It's a pretty cool game (good atmosphere, decent enough combat and gameplay etc.) just not enjoying it a whole lot. That and Battlefield bad company is not working for me.

Unlimited Saga is probably my biggest disappointment. I believe I never got passed the first hour.
Also pretty disappointed with the Zelda DS games as in my opinion they don't retain the feel of the other top down Zelda titles.

No it wasn't.
SNES/NES games were 50 dollars back in the day for a new one.

As a kid, you were a lot less picky about the actual quality of the gmaes you played. We all were. However, when I was like, 7, I STILL regretted buying the one the only..... Superman 64.

My list of games I wish I never bought:
Rock Revolution
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
World of Warcraft
Bionic Commando (Retail Remake on 360)
Resident Evil 5
Oblivion, this cannot be compared to Morrowind on any level. Morrowind is so much fucking better.
Guitar Hero: World Tour
Orange Box (on console)
Any Command and Conquer game after Generals.
If you have that many games you wish you never bought, then you clearly don't learn from mistakes.
Because you should'nt have to choose between ketchup and ninjas. http://aq.battleon.com/Build30/char view.asp?temp=71747039

Modern Warfare 2
The single player is okay, the multiplayer is... Abysmal is say the least. What can I say? I just don't like playing twitch shooters.
Made me even madder is that I bought it at full price and I saw it's price drop to half it's cost a week later.
You know what would be really neat? These things actually being noticeable.

I once bought Luigi's Mansion for Game Cube, only because the Wii is backwards-compatible. I made a few really basic and stupid mistakes.
1. I didn't know much about it at the time.
2. I accidentally bought a third-party Xbox controller instead of a GameCube controller with it
3. How could I have been so dumb.
Through my own mistakes, I hate yet to even touch the game.

Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly (what a horrible piece of shit)
The Legend of Spyro: Eternal Night (was o.k., but had no replayability)
South Park: Let's Go Play Tower Defense (the trial was good, but the full version was terrible)
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 (gba version)

Quantum of Solace for the 360.
The game itself was pretty good actually, but I made the big mistake of buying the game for $25 at Gamestop expecting a fun multi player experience much like Goldeneye on the N64, but I was terribly disappointed to say the least. I was better off just renting that game, but I never really thought that through at the time.
Just stop worrying, and love the bomb.

The Incredible Hulk for PS3
I noticed this when I was on vacation this summer and I began to remember how awesome the Hulk were on the PS2, so I bought the game and found it it was a free-roam massacre in Manhatten...
The only fun I got out of the game: Destroy the Empire State Building...
I didn't know this game would suck ass cause I had actually never heard any talk about it, but I should have backed off when I noticed it was made by the same people who made the Iron Man game... -.-

I really didn't like the game for Avatar. I didn't buy it, but my brother regrets buying it.
Oh, and I wish he'd never bought Naughty Bear. SUCH SHIT.

Temple of Elemental Evil. I just could not get the hang of how to play that freaking game. Not that it cost me much and I gave it away to a mate.
I suppose my brother regrets his full price purchase of Goldeneye Rogue Agent that we used once.

Mercenaries world in flames. It was complete shit compared to the first game that I had loved so much. It made me want to go get the first one just to forget how bad the second is.
Shut up already.

Not really a game but....
(I was like 11 or something)
I didnt know anything about computer specs, so I assumed that anything with internet could run anything.
So I bought some cheap ass Nintendo DS browser thing that let you check the internet (No flash, no nothing. Anything with animation did not work)
Before I got it, I assumed I could play games on it. (My intentionwas to pull countless allnighters playing MMOs on my DS.
Of cource, I destroyed it a few days later because it sucked so much
Cost like 40 dollars

World of Warcraft was pretty shit...
Spectrobes for the DS. It was pre-owned and cheap at GameStation, so I got it. Biggest regret of my life and a waste of a fiver.
Don't get it, don't do it.
