4.07 / 5.00 13,902 ViewsI've started writing a zombie survival story. It features some people I've met on newgrounds. Chris "Megafones" Mullally, Patrick "SomaGuye" Burke, Alec "Fezz" Silverman, Oliver "Lagamuffin" Smith, and myself.
At the moment I only have two paragraphs but I'll be using this thread to post bits and pieces as I get further along my writing process. I'll be looking for ideas and advice.
BEGINNING SO FAR:
Chris tapped the exposed bulb with his finger and dust evaporated into the air. The room took a few moments to light up. It was dreary in its state. Once being where Chris spent his nights alone playing video games, it now served as an outpost for him and his mate Patrick. The walls were deep blue and plastered with a vast array of posters. Two cots lay on either side of the room. One of them had a small knitted afghan covering it. Other than this, there were only some books on the floor and a table in the back corner where a once-white Ibanez guitar rested. It was beat up and had a layer of blood covering the body. Strings were twisted and missing. The back of the guitar had dents and scratches scattered over it. This guitar had been used occasionally to create simple sounds, but now it was being used as a weapon against the brain thirsty vermin that populated the area.
Static derived from the pocket radio laying on the table and pulsed in Chris's head. He felt the urge to smash it repeatedly on the ground but kept his temper. His strategy had always been to save his anger for the zombies. They pissed him off enough as it was and all extra annoyances brought him to a state of alarming anger. If Patrick wasn't around to keep him sane he would be one of them within seconds.
Daniel Gray, ready for combat.
