Okay, so you know how you have one person on each side doing the dance? Well what I want to do is have a button underneath each character or have each character as a button themself, and when you click on them it changes characters; but I want the animation to remain in sync with the song. Like I want their movements to be at the right place at the right time and not just have them start over whenever you click on the character(s). I've seen something similar done once before, but for the life of me I haven't a clue how to do it.
Does anyone understand what I am talking about or know how to? I am not sure what to type in google so I came here.
Thanks in advance X3

What you can do is too have the characters limbs as separate MCs, and the button would change the first characters movieclips into the second characters MCs.
Otherwise you could host both the characters in one MC, have the first character on the first frame of the MC and the other character in frame 2, and simply make the button switch between the two frames of the movieclip.
Fuck the corporate world!
You could have all the characters "visible" on the timeline and on diffrent layers and than you could script it sot hat it hides/showes diffrent layers. I think just having them in a mc and have diffrent characters on diffrent frames would still make them start over...

No it wouldn't, since every moving limb is it's own movieclip. Meaning that it would just change the limbs graphics.
