This is a song off his new album "Recovery" due out this summer. In this song he appologizes for being gone for a long time, the disappoiting Relapse album, the accent he used in those songs, and much more!

But the relapse album wasn't to bad, there were still some good songs on there.

Well with "Hello" and "Underground" he was actually gone for awhile, 4 years to be exact. The Without Me is more of a "guess who is back" not a returning to the game kind of song.

I actually really didn't like Relapse at first, but it grew on me. I actually listen to the album a lot now actually. It certainly was a completely different album than anything else that he had put out and I think that is why a lot of people didn't like it. That and he had that "accent" in the vast majority of songs and that turned people off. Clearly he heard that in feed back and realizes that isn't what his fans like.

It's not good when your mini album of 7 songs is better than your full release album. He way overdid the accent and the theme of him being a stalker/killer in Relapse so if he's ready to get back on track, I'd be willing to see what he does in his next project.

I did hear that, it's pretty intense.

Cannibus actually just released a diss song towards Eminem. They have gone back and forth for years feuding. The song is pretty brutal and I'm curious to see if Eminem responds. I really hope he does because I do love me some rap battles.

Aren't they the same thing? If a rapper isn't returning to the "game", then what is he returning to? Eminem also had a song on The Marshall Mathers LP called "I'm Back" and he was only gone for, what, less than a year? I also don't think four years is a long time. Portishead, for example, was gone for about ten years, at least as far as making studio albums.

OK, there's a bit of a difference, but I can actually name another where he said he was back: "Just Lose It". That means his last five albums, including this new one, have at least one instance of him saying he's back, in whatever way he means it.

I lost interest in his music by Encore, which I didn't buy, but liked the singles. I grew kind of bored of his goofy sense of humour and shock tactics. I noticed while reading the "Underground" lyrics, he made yet another stab at Christopher Reeves. He also recorded an apparently lost song named after him. Maybe I'll listen to this new album, but I hope it's not a case where the album could've been named something negative, like Rehash.
