Downloading Mods Help 2010-04-28 18:37:56 Reply

I know I seem like a noob with this question, but I've never downloaded mods of any kind for any game before and now I'd like to start. I've been trying to download mods for certain pc games but I don't know where to download the files to in order to get them to work. Can anyone help me out with this?

See ModDB. Every finished mod has a "Download" tab. Download, follow the instructions. Enjoy

I'm trying to download mods for GTA San Andreas for the pc. I've looked everywhere and can't find a downloads folder for the game.

Well, open the game. At the main menu, it will have 'vX.X' at the bottom right. If it's v2+, you can't mod it at all. You can find a downgrader on the internet somewhere.

There isn't a mods folder for it, they have to be installed manually. You can, however, use San Andreas Mod Installer to install car mods as well as any other mods, provided the other mods are supported by SAMI. Also, the best site for GTA mods is gtainside, nobody has ever heard of it but they do, in fact, have over 3,000 different car mods for GTA SA. And thats just cars. Also, if your version is 2.x you can't mod.

GTA SA is so much fun to mod, if you really really need a tutorial on how to do it feel free to PM me.
