I don't have anything against Canada, but all the Canadians I have met have been unnecessarily hostile towards me just for being American. I'd say the entire 100% of the Canadians that hate Americans ,that I've met, are no more ignorant and/or stupid than what they are calling Americans.

I doubt all Canadians are like that ... are they?

I think the only reason people make fun of Canada is because America controls the majority of the media and there appears to be this rivalry between USA and Canada, but I have no idea why, and so America usually makes fun of Canada in movies and stuff, therefor making them look bad in front of the rest of the world.

I don't see any reason to make fun of them, aside from the funny way that say "aboot" but that's it. Although I think that's a hge stereotype since I've known about 5 Canadians here in New Zealand, and none of them pronounced "about" like that, and they had strong accents. And out of all the Americans I've met in real life, they have REALLY fucked up accents.

No, not all of us. I have nothing against Americans, and even served alongside American soldiers in Afghanistan. Good boys them. Americans and Canadians aren't that different, and both countries have their selection of ignorant assholes who think they know the ways of the world.

The "aboot" thing is a Newfoundland (province in Canada) accent. At least, that's the only time I heard someone pronounce it that way and not as a joke.
