Alright so as some of you may know, I'm in a band, and we've been trying to get into the Warped Tour's Battle of the Bands.
Although it's unlikely, we remain optimistic and hope to get into this and make it all the way, mainly because of what the top prize is:
- $15,000 Guitar Center Shopping Spree
- All Expenses Paid Trip to Hollywood to play live at the Vans Warped Tour After-Party
- 2 Week Slot on the 2011 Vans Warped Tour
- Record a 3 song EP with Multi-Platinum Producer Matt Squire
- 1 Year of paid Tunecore Service - digital distribution on ITunes, Yahoo, Rhapsody, Amazon
- Full Ernie Ball Music Man Endorsement
- Customize Vans Shoes
- Custom Atticus Apparel Package

I mean, SHOES!!!!

But seriously...
Right now, it's in the voting stage, where people go to the site, look at the bands, and if they like the music they vote for them. The Top 100 bands get reviewed by a panel of judges, then from there, they pick 4 bands to play against eachother at the venue where the Warped Tour will be stopping. For us, it's Edmonton.

We are ranked 79 out of 240 bands.
You're probably thinking "Oh, well you're well within the top 100, so what's the point?"
The point is, the judges at the end will most likely consider the people in the top 10 or 20 bands more than the rest of them. That's why we need the votes.

There is a way to sort of "Cheat" the voting system, if you're into that kind of stuff.
You can vote for any number of bands 5 times (On different accounts) per IP Address. This is probably for other family members in the household to vote and such, but it's easily exploitable.
