Pico 2?!!!! Holy SHIT!!! =D I love this site even more than I did before I heard this!!
it would be cool if there was an area where all you do is go inside.. there would be all sorts of beanbag chairs and hundreds of TVs, and all you do is play videogames. From old school games like mario and zelda, to newer games like halo and rockband. THAT would be truly awesome.

Hehehe.. he thinks theres really going to be a pico 2... so precious:)
I think my town needs more than a little bit of reinventing, as lovely as a gym across the street from a smoothie shop sounds even the idea of more than two thirds of shops in the highstreet being in business sounds just a bit optimistic. In the recession the town's generally just been fucked, it already seemed to be degenerating - for example, a cinema going out of business, turning into a bingo hall, going out of business, now turning into a 'Mountain of Fire and Miracles' church.

i had a dream like that, there were sensors on our heads for headshots as well lol
Can there be an ice cream shop where Indiana Jones gives you ice cream?

We Actually have one of those in Orlando. The guns they use simulate the weight of the real gun. They also have grenades. There were things like shotguns, Mac-10's, Sniper rifles, and Assault rifles.

Poivoit Awoit!
Do or die.
what about a giant indoor gaming convention center where you can play games? just like that one in america with the launch of mag? 256 players in one hall playing against each other?
that would be awesome
sell ng audio portal submissions on vinyl and share revenue with the artists.
If I could, I would put a comic book/ manga cafe into my town. A place where you could sit down, have a drink, and read some literature of your choice. Maybe even have some drawing tables so people can draw and work on their own art. Also some cuputers/ tablets so people could get their art online.
If was gonna reinvented my home town I would drop a ing H bomb on that er!!!
My town is a ing dump!
resistance will be met bullet will be met with a bullet a clip will be met with a granade

They have to get a lazar knife, like a plastic apparatus which projects a short infrared beam, and if you stab someone with it and the beam makes contact with their armor shit, they die and such.

Just about anything in this Shrinky Dink town would be great, as far as i can tell the most it has store wise is a Groceries store. it has a library. that ive read anything worth while at. i would give my right testie for them to build a Gamestop for cryin out loud, ill then throw in my Left for SOMETHING TO DO!.... never really wanted kids anyways...
I just had another Idea, like yours very much but what you could also do is the following:
- Set up a gaming lounge/animating lounge
- Let young aspiring animator and game makers come there from the local highschools
- Introduce them to flash and webcontent
- Let them do a school project there with funding from the highschools with professional newgrounds help
- Let them hire PCs with flash pre-installed so they don't have to use illegal or lesser freeware versions
- Let them hire booth's for sound so they can create good voice acting and stuff
(So it's like a flash developer lounge :D)
And ofcourse spam them with Newgrounds best and latest, and ofcourse a merchandise store
I imagine toddles growing op with new heroes like Dad 'n me :D
That would be awesome, would be a great reason to come over there from the netherlands just for funs
I wish they had a laser tag place like that in every place..
How about a Game art gallery, with revolving collections? I've always wanted one of those.
I don't know why no one has thought of combining a bookstore with a bar. No grind music or djs, and the loud/belligerent drunks are thrown out, so the noise will not be too deafening. If you make a purchase over $30, you receive a discount on alcohol the next time you visit. You puke on it you bought it rules should also apply.
Pros:
-Bookstores reach a new demographic
-Enhances experience for existing customers
-Provides customers with incentives to buy books
-Creates an additional source of income for the business
Cons:
-Loss of demographic b/c of drinking age restrictions
-Additional upkeep and maintenance costs
-Complications of acquiring both a business license and a liquor license
-Dangers of storing high-proof alcohol and large amounts of flammable material in one building
In these past 5 years I've seen WW2 fortifications along the Rhine, got my single-engine pilot's license, and drove in 3 demolition derbies. What the hell have you done today?
He acts like we care... This is the first and LAST time that I will ever read one of these stupid posts.
I'm going back to Kongregate.
Baglady74 the words written above were written by me and if you really care enough to read someones signature you have a little to much time on your hands
I would move across the united states to be apart of a town that had you're kind of thinking.
Gosh, i would love it if my town had something fun. Last cool thing we had was a little place filled with computers where you could pay like 5-10 bucks for every hour and hang there and play all sorts of games. But it got shut down 5-6 weeks after opening. Dx I could go for a cool place to chillax and play some games..
WHO THE FUCK FARTED?!!!?
when is the NG chat coming Tom its been freaking years man.
I dont know if it's been said yet, but I would definetly want to bring in a huge arcade! Not like a Dave & Buster's or something like that, Im talking your "old time" local arcade, no tokens, QUARTERS! I live in Roxborough, PA, just outside Center City, Phila and in Ivy Ridge, there is a nic piece of storefront that has enough space to accomdate this. Too bad it will never happen. I have always had these great ideas for what I would want to do if I had enough capital to do this too.
+To expand on multiplayer games, get a bunch of Wii's, Xbox 360's and PS3's and there could be tournerys and stuff like that!
+Get all kinds of old and newer games and pinball sets
+A snack stand...not an eatery, but just snacks and stuff
+Must have Street Fighter 2 (original cabinet, no wussy Alpha Counters, Air Blocks and/or Supers)
+Will have ALL the best fighter games and old 80's games (like After Burner!!)
These are just some of the ideas I have eevr had when it came to opening up my own arcade. Basically, I would want to do or try to have everything that made going to the arcade so much fun. Places like Dave & Busters dont come close to the hey-day of the arcade, everything is too adult, with bars, and pool and sports all inside, the core of the arcade is lost. Yeah, by having all of those things may bring in more money and "variety", but I think there is jsut something lost that we may not see again..and I just wish I could do something like this.

Basically the best parts from this comic.

I still remember the days of spending 10 dollars worth of quarters beating House of the Dead II or the Star Wars Trilogy game. Or dang, this one arcade I went to more than 6 years ago that had a space based game with up to 8 people playing on a massive projector screen.
The memories...

you should have some castle crashers figures on the first floor... in real size that could be freaking awesome!
That's pretty innovative thinking, be careful with that; it kills people!
I wish I was PaintSplat's. alt. account.
