Now I'm primarily stationed in deviantART, but I never get any constructive criticism there. I tried 4chan, but they just keep saying to work on anatomy and perspective without telling me exactly what is wrong with the picture.
You are pretty good, you got potential! just keep on practicing -I know everybody says this- but really keep practicing, and you will master it!
Try to identify what style you are using and search for some paintings out there, try to study them!
Good Luck :)

I second this, yeah, its pretty "bland" advice that everyone gets, but its good.
I particularly like the second one. You really got the blendign and light source down on that one. First one looks a little pixely to me, but cool nonetheless. You have creative ideas and the ability to pull them off. There's not much advice you can be given at that point but to keep practicing and take it to the next level.

There's nothing wrong with trying out a pixely-style of art, but you have to make sure that the lines are still clean though. Go around and clean up all the rough edges.
Its hard to help someone when we dont know the direction they want to go in. So far all you have given us is that you are having difficulties with multiple light sources, so I'll comment on that.
The thing about light is that its essentially invisible, you draw the source, then you draw the surface its hitting. However a colored light unless its a weak lazer, will permeate almost everywhere in the picture. Even directional light pollutes a tiny bit through reflection off of surfaces. So if you have a colored light, USE THAT COLOR on the surfaces you are drawing. Or at least a color somewhat close to it depending on its strength. a strong light will completely wash out an area with that color and have sharp shadows. A weaker light will heavily tint an area, but be subject to having a slightly different hue because of whatever color is underneath it. A weak light will barely just tint a surface the color.
Thanks, I really appreciate the advice. I'll try practicing with something simple like spheres, cubes, and pyramids until I understand how to draw colored lights.
I'm not sure what you mean by what direction I want to go in. Unless I'm drawing cartoons with a completely flat perspective and no shading, I'll have to worry about shading, anatomy, perspective, and maybe other things I can't remember right now.
Another thing I could really use help with is learning to draw shapeless, flowing things like liquids, fire, loose fabric, explosions, clouds, smoke, etc. I always start by drawing the solid objects first and then drawing lines to represent the direction the substance is flowing. Sometimes I just can't visualize how fire, water, or especially smoke would act. What's your method?
I have an example of some water I painted, but I saved it as an SWF file and moved the PNG to a CD to make some room. I'll send you a link to the flash on deviantART.

He means its hard to give advice if you dont know what to advice on... Those subjects you mentioned are just some of all aspects of making a drawing; and many books have been written about each aspect. If you want specific (i.e. usable) advice; you need to ask what you want advice on specifically.

See? thats a good way of asking advice. Except that an example would be nice.
The point with flowing stuff like water and more specifically fire; is that we know what it looks like but we dont really know what it looks like. (contradiction I know).
What you need to do; is take a reference picture and try to duplicate that. Study the shape of the flames; the colors.... Our eyes and brain can not deal with all the visual information you get, thats why it makes selections. You remember exactly enough to recognize fire; but you dont know what it looks like exactly. This is true for anything (which is why references are usefull) but specifically for flowing things.
My art seems to be getting downrated a lot. My opinion might be skewed cuz I'm the one who drew the pictures, but does anyone else think a troll might be giving all my pictures zeros? One of my pictures had only one vote and it was a 0/5. I know I'm not that bad!

dont rely on those votes; poeple will zero it because it doesnt have sonic or titties in it....
focus on the reviews rather than the score.
Hey, can I get a [NSFW] tag on this or do I have to make another thread? Totally wasn't thinking when I posted this. Just figured I seen plenty of crudely drawn penises here that this whole forum must not be safe for work.
I finished it. I think just the right amount of blank space makes it look a bit better.

Muscular chicks scare me. Also, the stiffness in her right arm is just unnatural.

why the hell are you looking at the arms?
nice job dude, not a fan of the pixelated look but its still pretty awesome

Gah, I meant left, too.
Oh thanks guys, glad ya'll like the style. I tried to make this one tasteful and a bit cute but I guess it just came off as weird.
Do you mean my left or her left?
I did some light and shading practice by drawing a sphere in a corner. I'm also practicing blending colors so I can start practicing different colored light sources.
Does anyone know any step by step tutorials that could teach me how to paint an object with two different colored light sources shining on it?
