school debating

because some ass-face minister came up with 2 new courses in holland called ckv and anw we have to do debating at school about things nobody cares about. the only problem is that i have to type all my arguments out along with other shit like news articles and i haven't done anything yet.

i need to have good arguments and you don't know if you are for it or if you are against it until you start the debate ( so you can do some extra pointless work)

could you help me out?

pro-ana sites are websites that confront young girls with anorexia and hand out idea's and tips how to puke your own food out the best.

Have you got a clear-free speech law? If not, it's probably best to say they should not based on the grounds that they help perpetuate a dangerous disorder.

yeah we have a clear speach law so we can say anything we want. i just found out the group we will we debating with is a bunch of retards so i think it will get easy.

Then compare and contrast the number of sites to the rate of the disorder in the Netherlands. If it's high, propose more public awareness about the disorder

What I find really stops these little debates is taking such an extreme view so as to stop it ever being organized again. Like for instance, 4 months ago, we had to do a debate on terrorism (Whats there to debate about??) I therefore linked it to immigration, and took an extremely right wing view, and then finished with this line:

" So to sum up my points, if I came to power, half of you would still be in India".

I don't think kids should have to debate about things like that. It's too politically controversial. It's like making kids debate about gay marriage or abortion. Everyone in the school would freak out and get into a big fight, because kids are stupid and can't handle argument.
