Besides that Id like you to clean up the background (I mean drastically clean up, I know you were probably going for a scetchy look but I dont like it; make it smooth like the portrait itself), and tried add in a few more shades instead of only the three.

Hi all. I'd like to put something up too.

It's a bit plain, I know, and the angel's somewhat contrived. So far anything I've tried to add in (including the angel) only seems to be very artificial. If I could, I'd probably just leave the background blank.

Any opinion on this matter is welcome =)

it looks cool, and I dont think you need to add extra objects to it. I would like you to add some more shades though.

Ah. Actually, I was going for a 2-tone monochrome thing. No good? If you insist, I'll see what can be done.

Ok here's my first MCC entry... I'm kind of happy with the shading style I've come up with. I would have tried to make the shading better or emphasise it but because it's vector art and I had drawn so many lines the lag was pretty bad...

hopefully it's completely monochrome...

Will you count a posted WIP as one of our 3 submissions. even if we make it apparent that we just want feedback to assure us that we are not moving in the wrong direction.

I hope this will be okay. as long as we dont treat this as our personal art forum and continue to spam our WIP. maybe a limit? like 1 WIP post per piece. so a maximum of 3 per artist.

Don't worry. Only finished work will count. You have to link a .png for the submission anyway. J-qb an Renae have to accept them in anyway.

As far as WIP spamming. I don't think anyone cares too much. Rule of thumb only post a WIP if you genuinely want feedback, not just praise.

Should be OK, I've followed all the rules

-One color of your choice
-White, and any shades in between white and your chosen colour. (I chose Grey)
- Deadline for submissions: Sunday the 30th of May
- Art has to be Monochromatic
- Art has to be 500*500 pixels
- Art has to be delivered as .png
- Art must be posted in this thread

You might not get in anyway if you do that. The point is to get people to create original art. The rules are there to inspire us to work in new ways. Outside of our comfort zone. Why not make something new?

and to all the people, use a darker colour, it gives you more shades to use.

Using a darker color is possible; but it will make your image look less vibrant; since its less saturated. Also; dont get anywhere near black, or Ill set loose renaenae on you!

With your other piece the lines are too messy and random, if your going to shade/colour like that you should make the brush bigger and make sure each stroke is done precisely > examples

Cool collab you got there! So the rules say that I have to draw something with the utilization of one color correct? And it also says that the image size should be 500 x 500 pix. I made something specifically for this collab but I do not have the slightest idea on how to resize this. Maybe you nice people could help?

If you don't mind me messing with it a little, here's a resized version. I scaled it down, then I cropped a little off the top and some off the bottom. It's now the right size. If you do mind, just ignore this post.
