So yeah; in all his inability; occluded is trying to say: your piece isnt exactly monochrome as we defined it. Basically either one of the last two pics he posted would be okay; I prefer the first one.

That's not monochrome, not by the collabs definition, and exactly why ash pointed out using the black even to see what you were doing was a bad idea.
You have tons of reds, pinks, maroons, and even greys in there.
Fix'd

I used only one base color, dark red, the black was on a different layer than the rest so it didn't have any effect on the drawing, and I only used one base color and only slid the colors up from said base so unless when they blended into another base color I followed the rules. but Whatever I'm not gonna argue it. I'll just submit your fixed one.

I don't want you to think I'm picking on you. But ask anyone I'm kinda a dick about the rules. And obsessive when it comes to making someone understand. So instead of just letting it go like any rational human would I'm gonna explain what you did wrong.

If you use those monochrome sliders. And pick a darker color. Then as you slide the picker up... until you get to the halfway point you aren't adding white you're only removing black. Get it?

I see where you are coming from, but you need something clarified, obviesly.

I don't use all of the hightec arty programmes, but I am assuming you are using photoshop. Not all wonderful pieces of artwork are created in PS, and therefore don't have the monochrome 'slider' you are talking about. I am just saying that we don't all have the time to be as picky as you, and secondly, are you even the creator of this thread? Ehem

He is being the helpful one here. He has been helping since the very beginning and has every right to try and help you learn.
That tutorial can be used in MSPaint too. Check pages 4-6 of this thread to see them all. He isn't being picky, he is trying to help you.

A good, ol' fashioned schooling is always fun to witness. Why is it that people who don't use photoshop think that people who do are pretentious? I've never seen anybody use photoshop and then act like they're better than anyone else because of it, but people who use MS Paint or refuse to try digital art because it's not "real" always seem to think they do.

Legolass, what program are you working in? Is... is that Paint? It looks a bit like it, because of the quality in some areas. It looks AMAZING. I thought it was pencil or charcoal until I took a closer look.
