The Last Stand: Weapons Review

Note: This review pertains to this game, not this game.

Hello, Newgroundians! I just recently played Con Artist's "The Last Stand" and thought I'd review the weapons in order from 1 through 10, 1 being the best, 10, the worst. In each one I'll give a short introduction, then the pros/cons. Attached is a picture, showing the ranges. Here's my ToC/List:

3. UMP .45
4. Uzi
5. Shotgun
6. Chainsaw
7. .30-06 Bolt-Action Rifle
8. Sawn-off Shotgun
9. .357 Magnum
10. Beretta 98

1/2. M16/AK-47.
These two are virtually the same, so it's a tie. Perfect from short to long range.
Pros:
-Lots of ammunition.
-Quick reload
-Decent damage
Cons:
-Very, very rare, easy to spend a whole game searching for them and not find either of them.

3. UMP .45.
Practically the offspring from the two assault rifles. Best when used against zombies from a long-medium range.
Pros:
-Decent ammunition
-Quick reload
-Easy to find
Cons:
-Same amount of damage as the Beretta 98

4. Uzi
Simply put, a slightly modified UMP .45. Best if used from a medium range.
Pros:
-High ammunition per clip
-Fast reload
Cons:
-Less damage than the UMP .45
-3rd rarest weapon.

5. Shotgun
The classic zombie-killing weapon. Best if used from medium to point-blank range.
Pros:
-Several shots per round, each dealing more damage than the Uzi.
-The shots have a chance to go through the target.
Cons:
-Slow reload
-Low ammunition

6. Chainsaw
The knights of the Middle Ages would've had fun with this. Only damages at point-blank range.
Pros:
-Highest rounds per "clip"
-Nearly instant reload
-Damage comparable to an assault rifle.
Cons:
-Extremely short range.

7. .30-06 Bolt-Action Rifle
Weapon of choice for deer hunters for its versatility. Best if used at long range, although all right at medium.
Pros:
-Highest-damaging weapon in the game.
-Always continues through target.
-Slightly fast reload.
Cons:
-Only 1-shot per clip.

8. Sawn-off Shotgun
A Wells Fargo Coach gun with a short barrel and no stock. Best for use at short-range, unless wanting to use for extra wide spread.
Pros:
-Very wide spread, useful for use against crowds at long range.
-Same damage as the Shotgun.
Cons:
-Very wide spread, bad for use against individuals-small crowds or at short-medium range.
-Only 2 rounds per clip.
-Slow reload.

9. .357 Magnum
When you want to hurt, use an 8mm. When you want to kill, use a 9mm. When you want to overkill, use a Magnum. Best from short-point-blank range.
Pros:
-Deals as much damage as the .30-06.
-First found weapon in the game.
Cons:
-Low ammunition.
-Slow reload.

10. Beretta 98
Used to be NATO's basic sidearm, and for good reason too! Still sucks in this game, though. Works fine from all ranges.
Pros:
-Starting weapon
-Fast reload
-Decent ammunition.
Cons:
-Low damage
-Becomes useless after night 3.

So? The guy has character. Sure, it's irrelevant sentences, but at least he doesn't go overboard. No, his only fault was making this thread which doesn't serve very much purpose after so long.

I hope Con-Artists eventually cooks up a Last Stand 3 where you start with melee weapons and work your way up to guns. And have grenades as a limited supply weapon where you throw it with the F key or something without having to switch weapons. And make the traps more plentiful if they're going to be as useless as they were in 2.

I guess you didn't find the bonus rifle, the Barret cal.50 rifle, because it isn' t in your review. Keep searching after you found the AK-47 and you will find it.

barett is hard to find and takes searching 5+ hours every day to get also its an M4-A1 not an an M16.
I think that the Ak-47 should be 2not tied
