Aww I'm sorry to hear that.
My roommate's mom just died of pancreatic cancer last month. It's really horrible and it moves very quickly. I hope he doesn't have that. All you can really do is be there and support your dad for everything he's going through.

I'm sorry to hear about the current situation of your father: I really do hope he recovers -- nobody should have to endure that sort of pain.

What do you do that normally cheers you up at a bad time? Music; film; gaming? I'd suggest that you give that a go, but make sure it's something you can laugh to. I can understand how hard it must be feeling at the moment, so anything that can lighten the mood would definitely be useful.

Personally, I don't think I'm being a jerk, but I am defending (to an extent) those that feel the need to be cruel to him right now. I've seen the kid be a real ass to a lot of people, to the point where something like this is a great place to get back at him in some way, regardless if it is cruel or not. The kid is an ass, and while I understand the concept of common human courtesy, I also understand the concept of equivalent exchange. You can't punch someone in the face, then expect them immediately afterward to pity the loss of a loved one.

At any rate, I do hope is father is alright, regardless of how I feel about the son that he created. If it's any reflection, then I'm not sure how much his father deserves to be in this world.

This is the first thread I've seen this kid post in that he didn't bash anyone on Newgrounds or act like a complete twat. Not exaggerating. If he feels close to this community in some way, maybe he should treat those within it with some common courtesy before he expects us to give him any, hm? Even so, human beings die every day, and just because they're on their last leg of their existence doesn't mean they're a good person, or are truly deserving of sympathy. The only judgment we have of him is his offspring, which is a less than favorable representation of who he is. At any rate, Pirate isn't worth it.

You can all keep being soooo sad for someone dying that you don't know, and someone that has brought into this world someone that will attempt to insult you later on. I'll be enjoying my day, knowing that someone that deserves to feel horrible will be feeling horrible. As Martha Stewart would say, it's a good thing.
