Why is it that people always listen to the paranoid sensationalists and not the scientists who actually know what they're talking about?
"According to the well-established properties of gravity, described by Einstein's relativity, it is impossible for microscopic black holes to be produced at the LHC. There are, however, some speculative theories that predict the production of such particles at the LHC. All these theories predict that these particles would disintegrate immediately. Black holes, therefore, would have no time to start accreting matter and to cause macroscopic effects."
Have you paused to consider that if there was any risk of the LHC destroying the world, it wouldn't have been built? Are you really so arrogant as to think that you're smarter than all the scientists and engineers who designed and built the thing?
While your point is valid, it doesn't mean that we should stop trying to advance. Go ahead and be a pessimist, though, if it makes you happy muttering to yourself in a corner while the rest of the world is moving ahead.
I don't care if I'm being trolled. I've been frustrated about this for a while now.
