there was an animation series tournament, of wich i have now lost track of, it was in a sortof anime manga style and the "star" was a "kid?" who had an inner evil side that sortof turned him into a robot of sorts.
the face of the robot was sorta like a small shield with half a face(may i add a evil face), whenever this evilness took over the "kid?" was trapped in his own head.
