hi, NG'ers. i have a question for you. let's say that i'm developing a game for pico day using NG characters n would like to have ads system in it. Do i need to get the character's author's permission? thanks in advance.

i would say yes it would be best or at least nice to at least ask for permission

Actually, for Pico Day, users are encouraged to use NG characters, so since NG gives you permission to use NG characters, I think you'll be alright.
