Here's a sharpie picture I made today. I'm currently into experimenting with textures. Hope you enjoy.

Sharpies are ok and all, a cheap effective tool, I've used more than my share I\m sure. but you should explore some of the other markers out there. You might be very happy with what you find.
Post more please.
I've used paint markers before, and I REALLY like them, but they're so expensive. I also like using my adesso tablet, but I just haven't plugged it in for a long time.

Aye I only have 2 myself,
but sadly progression requires a cost, and cost usually in the form of money.
but give a look in to PrismaColor markers, Copics. Again not cheap, but worth it. Also there is a new water based marker that just came out. I cannot remember it's name, but it is got a pretty good selection of colors and are somewhat cheap.
I che ked those out, and honestly, I'm only into greyscale and b/w when I physically draw. If I do color it's usually digital. But if they offered a greyscale set, that'd be for me.

If only I had a nickel for every time I have talked about Copics on the Art Forum, and no, they aren't cheap at all, especially the sketch ones (which I am about to get sometime this week). The advantage, though, is that they are refillable. Prismacolor paint markers are pretty good and fairly priced as well, their colored pencils are really good too. If you like paint pens save up some coin and buy Uni-Posca markers, they're pretty expensive, but well worth the money. They also come with a pretty good supply of paint to keep you going for a while.

yeah both copic and prisma offer gray scale sets. and you can buy individuals, which is nice allowing you to pick up 2 or 3 colors a week until you have a satisfactory set.
You shouldn't ignore all non digital coloring though, usually the skills bridge one another and as you get better at one you usually get better at the other.
I also searched on copic for dealers, and I couldn't find any, so I'm still blind as to pricing and where to find them.

Well, anyway, here's a picture with color. Adesso cyberteblet 1200, Adobe Illustrator.
It's a few character concept drawingsfor a gorey cartoon about violent water-foul. They say and do disgusting things, and take a shit on subtlety's face.
And will never be made.
Enjoy.
Also, here's some graphic design done in flash. It's something promotional.
This is a sample page. It took about 4 hours.
This is a promo I made for a limited series I'm writing. I liked the blur at first, but now I'm not so sure, what do you think?
Alas! Kinsei has found a new student. Well about your work, the first comic page you did with the woman is quite awesome, especially the dark shading. But the second one however, like Otto said, was too blurry. And may I say that the first pic in this thread is very good, it's my favorite. :D

Haha, yeah, Kinsei has given me a lot of very good advice. Very greatfull.

Thanks! I was experimenting with penstrokes to see what kind of textures I could come up with.
I was trying to make a sample comic page for The Surrealist. I made this a little too cartoony for the mood of the story, in my opinion, but I still like it.

Wait, what, huh?
careful throwing around those words.... :P
>.>... Do I gotta kill some one now, maybe?...
Made this today. It's the b/w version of the logo for my.....ahem...."company." But if I ever get a comic made, this is going on it. It's even got a space at the bottom for price depending on the book.
Whaddaya think?

It's ok, A little close to Image Comics Logo though. Well it could just be me, but it does remind me of Image a little...
BTW have you found an artist for your comic yet?

Well, to be fair, their rectangle-circle-combo is to make an "i". And mine are connected. But any similarity is bound to be advantageous to me anyway, image is cool.
And I haven't made any concrete decisions yet, but I am negotiating with about ten people right now. There's this one guy who is spectacular, and I hope he does it.
Have you ever written/read a comic script before? Would you give me a critique on mine?

well good luck with who you choose. Make sure they communicate well and you like they're style
I've read a few comic scripts before, written a couple too... I guess I can take a look...
Great. How would you like me to send it to you?

well I;m sure you want to keep it private, so you can PM it to me. So no worries I won't disclose anything to the public.

no problem, I got it just fine. I'll read it tonight and get back to you tomorrow about it ok?
Just so you know, I am not that great with grammar or spelling, so in those areas I cannot help, but I can help with content and layout a little.

No problem, that's all I need. I hope you like it!
This is a thing I made in Illustrator a while ago. It's the partial cast of this cartoon idea I had. I actually had three whole seasons, 13 to 25 episodes each. I was really into this for a while, haha.
Illustrator, Adesso Cybertablet.

This. Sorry.
Here's another Illustrator image. Mede it last night.
This is an uncolored page from a comic book called The Subterrainers. I've got a lot of these lying around, I might just post them all to ng. I plan on coloring with photoshop.
