Scorsese and Deniro have this for me, ^^pretty good list, there's been some great ones
Jim Sheridan / Daniel Day-Lewis
Sergio Leone / Clint Eastwood
Coen Brothers / Frances McDormand(she's so underated)
Jones & Gilliam/Chapman, Cleese, Idle and Palin
come on, who else could it have been other than the pythons?
Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks/ Harrison Ford/ Richard Dreyfus. None of these were even mentioned on your list, even on the honorable mention part.

agreed
"Let's just see what happens" is not a viable strategy
I have no idea what you guys are talking about. Seriously, what's the point of being a film addict?
David Fincher / Brad Pitt
Yes. David Fincher is amazing.
Robert Zemeckis/Tom Hanks
Yes. <3 Tom Hanks. Wilsooooon lol.
Tim Burton/Johnny Depp
Should have been more than honourable mention.
The sig that I'm wearin? Awesomely made by Skaren!
Also, I like annoying Americans by calling English football "real football" and American football "rugby".-Lost-Chances
depp and burtons last few films havnt been up to scratch for me
It's a decent list. It goes for the obvious ones (yes, I love Scorsese-De Niro too), which is good in its own special way. It's nice to see Kurosawa-Shimura get an honourable mention. They're far from 'underrated', as it were, as a team, but most tend to concentrate on the more obvious Kurosawa-Mifune partnership first. People hit me for this, but I often think Ikiru is worth watching over Seven Samurai at times. I know Shimura's in both of them, but Mifune's a scene-stealer in the latter (and the same goes for Rashomon).
And on this topic, I prefer Seven to Fight Club. Sorry guys!
Anderson-Murray's another good choice. Speaks for itself really, which says a lot when you've got films like The Royal Tenenbaums with all-round great performances.
Oh yeah, and while I love Woody Allen, his one could probably be expanded to Allen-every woman who's ever been a film of his. I know the ones with Diane Keaton are probably the most iconic of his, but you're excluding stuff like Hannah and her Sisters otherwise, won't do. I mean, yeah, he pretty much saps everything from every actress in films like Deconstructing Harry, but you can't deny they're all good performances.

Yeah, I can go along with this! They don't make, like, my favourite films, but it's a partnership that works.
Adam Sandler and every terrible comedian that Adam Sandler keeps employed.

I've just realised this list sucks, as there is no Dietrich-von Sternberg. If you even want to get picky about it, it's not even a case of old = good (though that is a good theory). The guy was just good at making her look beautiful, and dangerous, I guess. Mmm...
Not that she needed him at her prime.
