I Got Vtmb Working On Vista!

After a few long years of occasionally trying to get it work on Vista, it did. There's only one problem. My graphics card dosen't have hardware T&L so some fo the characters and items appear as black shapes. I turned the gamma all the way and can see some of what they look like. Here's a screeny.

I don't remember ever having any particular trouble getting that game to work on Vista.

I just installed a couple of patches and off I was.

Pretty average game in the end.

Well actually patches didn't help for me. I found this one thing that seemed to work. I had to put -dxlevel 70 into the shortcut. Don't know why it worked, but that kind of help was pretty hard to find.
