Guild Wars does anyone here play it

I'm now the leader of a guild and the members there are hardly active i just got promoted to leader about ten days ago. so if anyone is looking to join a guild on GUILD WARS, and yes this is relevant to the game forum because it is about a video game, add Necro Zodiac to your friendlist and ill recruit you if you message me next time im on guild wars.

someone once told me about it so i had a look, but the gameplay graphics was too blocky for me, which is why i dont like world of warcraft, ohwell maybe anothertime though

Dude the graphics are insane, 1 million times better than world of warcraft.
I have it, but i haven't gotten to installing it though.

I used to play it, but it's been ages since I was last on. I don't think it's Mac compatible, and I won't have a Windows gaming machine until late summer.

I think I can get it to run under Crossover Games, but I'm not sure how badly it will effect the performance. Assuming I can get it to run well on my Mac, I might start playing again as I will have a lot of free time on my hands in a couple weeks.

well the answer to that question comes in 2 parts.
1. No. You have to buy the disc/expansions you want.
2. Yes. You dont pay for the online play

That's funny because in my town alone, my town isn't even that big I know at least 3 or 4 other people (aside from the people in my house and I) that play it.

It's not a bad game. It's pretty interesting for the first 6 months to a years gameplay but it becomes a grindfest very soon. The story is okay mostly and I like the way the fighting id set up.

With Guild Wars 2 coming out this year I wouldn't buy it, though. Until you really don't have any money to buy a 50$ game. I still play it on and off. If you want a game to play for a good 8 months until the next one comes out be my guest. It is free-to-play anyway.

Say what? *Looks at Guild Wars real fast* I know not of what you speak. For a game that came out 5 years ago it aged well.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing... I never really got into this game much after I maxed out my level. Seems more like a campaign game than something I could play over and over.

It is actually really fun to be honest if you play multiplayer the only problem is and it makes sense why they did it is you have to unlock each arena by getting so many wins in another arena

I used to play it for quite a while, I had the original special edition+faction+eye of the north but, like all MMO's, it gets boring after a while.
Still over 9000 times better than any other MMO out there..I'm currently waiting for GW2 to come out.

Guild Wars was made by NC Soft, a company that I particular do not like.

It seemed interesting but I really don't plan on buying the game and it's 3743574 expansions or whatever.

I played it for a time, but as a person who likes to go it alone in games I didn't really like that you have to rely on other people to accomplish things, choosing the rogue class didn't help either. I don't know why I ever thought I should play an MMORPG, lol.

Why on earth would you not like it?GW was their first commercially and critically acclaimed game, so you don't really have a reason for hating them, unless you hate them FOR making GW, in which case you didn't even need to post here.

First of all, there are only 3 expansions, it's not that much, and they sell the game+all expansions at a very good price...also, if the game seems interesting I don't see why you shouldn't buy it.
