Cartoon Network Is Back! 2010-03-19 18:56:19 Reply

Or atleast it's on its way there... CN's still got crappy live action shows, but they're adding new animated shows like Adventure Time, and Regular Show. Flapjack's a great show too, and I hear that Chowder is good, but I've never seen it.

The reason why I've JUST realized this: I watched the sneak peek episode of Adventure Time (I had it DVR'd from last night) and it was AWRESOME! It is basically everything I would have ever wanted in a cartoon: Violent violence, likeable characters, hilarious randomness, and it's not a knock off of any other show or anything!

Why was it so awresome you ask? Mostly because it's so "fucked up" as one might say. It's so weird and crazy that it's hilarious, even when none of the characters are saying anything funny, which means that there is double the funneh. For anyone who hasn't seen the sneak peek, i'mma gonna name two things that I especially liked in it:

First, there were these worm things, that when they moved they made a silly noise. Then, when the human character yells at them to stay off of his bed, they straighten themselves out, start vibrating, and emit a strange sound. At the end of the episode, the main characters see many more of these worms, along with their king, who hypnotizes them into hugging them. Why? Why the fuck not more like.

Second, there was one other scene that was totally kewl and junk. When the dog character is about to get his blood drained by Marceline the Vampire Queen, he compresses all of his blood and organs into his thumb to save himself, because he has the power to shapeshift and do weird ass crap like that.

You can read more about Adventure Time on the Frederator blogs.

So, who else agrees that cartoon network will be saved, since all these new, awresome shows are being added?

I grew up with those. This is probably why I don't watch that much TV nowadays. I think it stopped a little after they added Icarly.

Cartoon network has gone to shit literally, back when dexter's lab, samurai jack, edd ed and eddy and the powerpuff girls were around THEY ACTUALLY HAD SOMETHING GOOD ON. Today when I look through the T.v. guide all I see is shit that no one in ages would even bother to watch. I understand that people of this time have a much more random sense of humor, but there's a fucking line between random and retarded. Cartoon netwrok's supposed "New Hit" television shows have honestly crossed the line and aren't randomly funny at all but sincerely retarded.

Sure I may be ranting but does anyone remember the good times, where all the GOOD cartoons had violence in them? Now today it's just a bunch of retarded voice acting with shitty drawn characters.

I bet my "shit" is more creative than your dumbass shows.

Yeah, Adventure Time does look pretty awesome. Not sure if it's enough to bring the old CN back, but it's a step in the right direction.

Holy shit, CN is now Newgrounds. Notice how NC started sucking at the same time NG hadda redesign. -shot-

But anyway, it does look pretty good. And while I DO miss the old shows, the new animated (Key Word: animated) shows like CHowder and stuff are pretty good.
I mean, old is nice, but we have to move on eventually.

also this Adventure time show looks promising.

From the first 60 seconds, I'd say it looks like a tamer version of Superjail. Maybe I'll try watching it.

Cartoon Network never really left. It just tried some new stuff out, like a new hairdoo, it put on some make-up, went gay, and developed an identity crisis.

Now it's crying for our help.

The newer shows they have seem like they're pretty cool, but nothing matches up with the classic CN 90s lineup, the stuff I grew up with. Although I gotta say its much better than what they've been showing the past few years. Plus, the guy that voices Master Shake in ATHF does a voice in Chowder =D

I think Pendleton Ward is the main art guy, and also the creator of the show. He arted a lot for Flapjack, and I think some other shows. He also made THIS.
