I own a mouse, but if I'm going mobile and say, sitting at the Pittsburgh Airport and I've got time to kill there's no where to put the mouse, or if I'm at a coffee place etc etc etc. Or if I'm surfing while on a couch, again, no where to put the mouse. Sure, if I really wanted to I could go find a larger table in my house or wherever I am, but the average lap top user probably won't. If your game is mouse based, fine, but I think any designer should think before choosing to use one when another control scheme might work.

Or any designer could stick to a control scene that makes sense for the actual game, vs a handful of users who want to play PC GAMES on their lap.
That would be like telling Activision to quit making guitar hero games simply because you don't always want to hook up the guitar controller.
And let's be honest; shooter games just suck to play with a keyboard. The developer has to dramatically change how the aiming mechanics work vs a simple mouse tracking routine, not to mention the game feels less natural to play that way.
And really, it's not like there isn't a HUGE library of games that DON'T use the mouse that you can play when you are in those situations.
SUCK IT UP SUZIE.
Arch-Angel likes this sig!
hahaha ok because we're way off base.
I'm talking about flash, you're talking about other things. I already admitted some stuff works better with a mouse, but there are times when a mouse is used and it shouldn't be or could be done with out. That's pretty much all there is to it, but whatever. I thought we were talking about standardizing flash controls. That only makes sense in certain contexts and a lot of the normal button choices don't make sense. Just, wow.
I can pretend I'm crying if it makes you feel better about yourself. Oh man, lol.

Bloody hell. We should raise money for pets more often. It's only a dollar which if everyone chipped into it could make things easier. I got a dog who's ill every now & then, but she's way too old for surgery if it was ever needed. Still, I'm sure that there are some Newgrounders with ill/dying pets who could need small donations from everybody to save.
Wow that is very nice. The staff added the wiki page to NG! Awesome!

All in 3rd person of course, to be cool.
-- Just come to Wikigrounds, join up and write your own Userpage with all the info you like, including an infobox for the purpose. Just don't expect to write your own actual wikipage and have it last for more than an hour unless your pretty Notable. It would be kinda nice if you did a bit of editing elsewhere on the wiki too while you were at it- there is SO much to write. We want articles on every feature of Newgrounds, all the Mods, the top BBS Bandwagons, top submissions... loads of stuff.
WikiWikiRADness! This is definitely gonna come in handy for a lot o' people. Really glad to see this project go live. Nice work guys! :)

but this is different. Our Wikia wiki is one we can all edit, which suits some people. This one is the official wiki within Newgrounds and gives the official answers to things. Both have their place. Right now this one is quite small, ours has over 250 pages, however, both wikis need a lot of work. Join us!
So with this NG Wiki will there be a Wiki link in the navigation somewhere or are we just going to have to visit it ourselves?

Its now the "About Newgrounds" Button.
I would like to scribe sections of the wiki.
I have been a reasonably active member of Newgrounds for several years. I have attempted, with mixed results, to stay an active voter, blamming garbage whenever possible and reviewing anything that stands out in my mind.
Reviewing is something I take seriously. Rarely do I constrict reviews to a scant few sentences (unless I'm rushing to return to the fray). In each one, I vie to point out at least one issue while staying positive. I always wanted to write an article (which would, I imagine, be buried in the BBS, never to be seen again) on the finer side of writing reviews, like what to do, what not to do (beyond the guidelines already suggested), and other minutiae.
If nobody has offered to undertake such a minor task, please PM me at your leisure. Afterwards, I can write articles on writing (strong point), like penning screenplays for flash cartoons. I also have minor drawing experience, often with ink. Whatever you need, ask and I'll make a happy attempt to accommodate you!

OH GOD NO!
THANKS FOR STANDIN' STILL WANKA!
Buy it now or I will end you. You can punch trees in that game.
The thing should be using DokuWiki, and use custom settings to get it working for NG's login system, and use the ACL features to allow a few users to edit.

RIP Michael Jackson. RIP Billy Mays. (But I do not care for them)
Oh wow lots more stuff going on, but does this mean we are getting yet another re-design possibly? anyways whatever happens everything is always brighter on the negrounds side of the hills
I have to imagine that if it was a human who hurt himself instead of a cute lil puppy, the donations wouldn't have came in so swiftly. Newgrounders are so compassionate when it comes to cute fuzzy animals.
Great job Tom, now all you need to do is read my email so you can look at my game.... would love to have it sponsored here.
Also, you should add something in there that tells people how to link songs from thee Newgrounds Audio portal into the games externally, like an API or something. Loading songs directly from the portal saves us developers alot of space....
