This is for all of us with new sites, that need more hits. I would like to know if anyone has and tips and tricks, for free promotion.

Yeah, register your site with search engines, after loading the pages full of (relevant!) meta tags, making the title include relevant words, and the first body of text including a brief description of your site (I usually whack that in a comments tag).

Then, get as many reciprocal links from similar sites as you can - even from sites you may not consider to give you much benefit or bear much relevance... For example, if you were a medical organisation, you might want to have a link from a football page - afterall, footballers get injuries ;-)

Search engines are good- but they dont bring people rushing in. The best thing to do is affiliate with sites like yours..loads of sites have an "Become affiliate" link you can follow and request..if they are good people- and you tell them you just started out. Theyll give you a chance.
